New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg with ridiculous accusations of enabling white supremacy.

The Congresswoman made the statement during a hearing before The House on Wednesday when she asked the CEO if he would remove Republican ads that she believed contained lies.

When Zuckerberg informed her that he would err on the side of fairness for all, a concept she did not like, she began to make her accusations.

Rush Transcript:

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “Would I be able to run advertisements on Facebook targeting Republicans in primaries saying that they voted for the Green New Deal?

I mean, if you’re not fact checking political advertisements, I’m just trying to understand the bounds here of what’s fair game.”

ZUCKERBERG: “I don’t know the answer to that off the top of my head.”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “So you don’t know if I’ll be able to do that?”

ZUCKERBERG: “I think probably.”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “Do you see a potential problem here with a complete lack of fact checking on political advertisements?”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman, I think lying is bad. And I think if you were to run an ad that had a lie, that would be bad.

That’s different from it being — in our position, the right thing to do to prevent your constituents or people in an election from seeing that you had lied —”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “So we can — so you won’t take down lies or you will take down lies? It’s a pretty simple yes or no.”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman —“

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “I’m not talking about spin. I’m talking about actual disinformation.”

ZUCKERBERG: “Yes, in most cases, in a democracy, I believe that people should be able to see for themselves what politicians that they may or may not vote for are saying and judge their character for themselves.

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “So you won’t take them down? You may flag that it’s wrong, but you won’t take it down?”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman, it depends on the context that it shows up, organic post, ads.”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “One question. One more question. In your ongoing dinner parties with far-right figures, some of who advanced conspiracy theory that white supremacy is a hoax, did you discuss so-called social media bias against conservatives and do you believe there’s a bias?”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman — sorry, I don’t remember everything that was in the question.”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “That’s okay. I’ll move on. Can you explain why you’ve named ‘The Daily Caller,’ a publication well-documented with ties to white supremacists, as an official fact checker for Facebook?”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman, sure. We actually don’t appoint the independent fact checkers. They go through an independent organization called The Independent Fact-Checking Network that has a rigorous standard for who they allow to serve as a fact checker.”

OCASIO-CORTEZ: “So you would say that white supremacists-tied publications meet a rigorous standard for fact-checking? Thank you.”

ZUCKERBERG: “Congresswoman, I would say that we’re not the one assessing that standard. The International Fact-Checking Network is the one who is setting that standard.”

President Donald Trump has said that The New York Times, the leading newspaper of The Resistance, colluded with the FBI against him.

“Just revealed that the Failing and Desperate New York Times was feeding false stories about me, & those associated with me, to the FBI.

“This shows the kind of unprecedented hatred I have been putting up with for years with this Crooked newspaper. Is what they have done legal?

“This Russia Collusion Hoax was perpetrated in part by people inside the government, and in part by a compliant (Fake News) media.” Mollie Hemingway.

“@TuckerCarlson @foxandfriends The facts are starting to pour out. Stay tuned!” he said in a series of tweets on Friday.

The Washington Examiner reported that The Times was giving stories about the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner to the FBI to investigate.

“Wanted to flag you on something. Three of my colleagues are working on a story about the Russia investigation,” Times reporter Michael Schmidt said to FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Michael Kortan in a letter.

“They’re told that Jared Kushner is among the individuals who the F.B.I. is scrutinizing for their meetings with Russians,” he said.

“My colleagues were told that Ambassador Kislyak, after meeting Kushner and General Flynn in early December at Trump Tower, set up a meeting with Kushner and a Russian banker.

“Kushner ultimately met with the Russian banker. The banker worked for Alpha Bank. Thanks. Mike,” he said in the letter dated March 24, 2017.

That letter was then forwarded to the infamous agent Peter Strzok, and it was not the first time Strzok colluded with the media.

Strzok and Page had an email exchange on April 10, 2017 in which they talked about getting a preview of a Times report.

“The editing is nearing completion and we have one last shot to hear what the end result is,” was said in the email titled “NYT Last Shot.”

“Do you have time later today or tomorrow that is convenient for a listening session? Likely by phone in Mike’s office,” it said.

House Speaker and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi has shown her hypocrisy as she has decided she will not release her tax returns.

Since the day President Donald Trump entered The White House, and before, Pelosi has whined about wanting President Trump to release his tax returns.

She even sponsored a bill, H.R. 1, that would require presidential candidates in 2020 and beyond (read President Trump) to release their tax returns.

But now it is she who has decided that she will not unveil her tax returns for the American citizens to review for themselves.

The woman who is the third person in line to be President of The United States is a major hypocrite and has a novel excuse for not sharing her taxes.

Pelosi’s Chief of Staff Drew Hammill told CNSNews that Pelosi “will gladly release her tax returns if and when she runs for president.”

As she is a 79-year-old it is highly unlikely that she will run for president, but, then again, Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders are.

Either way, as the person who is third in line for the presidency, if she wants others to show their tax returns she should lead by example.

CNSNews.com asked Speaker Pelosi’s Press Spokesperson Taylor Griffin and Communications Director Ashley Etienne these questions:

H.R. 1, which Speaker Nancy Pelosi supports, would require the president and vice president to release their current tax return and their tax returns from the last 9 years. It states: “With respect to each taxable year for an individual who is the President or Vice President, not later than the due date for the return of tax for the taxable year, such individual shall submit to the Federal Election Commission a copy of the individual’s income tax returns for the taxable year and for the 9 preceding taxable years.”

Here are my questions:

1. Does Speaker Pelosi support legally requiring the speaker of the House to release his or her tax returns?

2. Will Speaker Pelosi release her tax returns for this year and the previous 9 years? Yes or no?

“H.R. 1 would legally require the president and vice president to release their tax returns. Should House Speaker Pelosi be required to release her tax returns? Yes or no?” CNS News asked Rep. Hakeem Jeffries on Feb. 13.

“Well, that’s a question that I think you should direct to Speaker Pelosi,” Rep. Jeffries said.

Politico caught the exchange and tweeted it. A tweet that caught the attention of Hammill.

President Donald Trump’s attorney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, is getting to the bottom of foreign interference in our elections.

But suddenly the Democrats are angry about it, and that is because he is getting to the bottom of the Ukraine’s attempt to help the Democrats, Fox News reported.

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani said in an interview Thursday that he plans to travel to Ukraine to push the country’s leadership on several probes that may prove “very, very helpful” to President Trump, as Republicans continue looking to turn the tables on Democrats and prove that they — not the GOP — were the party that improperly conspired with foreign actors.

Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky, who takes office in June, will assume stewardship of two major ongoing investigations. One concerns evidence that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign may have worked with Ukrainians to illegally help Clinton by revealing damaging information about then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

The other investigation pertains to allegations that former Vice President Joe Biden pressured Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor in order to take the heat off the prosecutor’s probe into a company that employed his son as a board member.

“I am going to tell him what I know about the people that are surrounding him, and how important it is to do a full, complete and fair investigation,” Giuliani said.

“We’re not meddling in an election; we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do,” he said.

“And this isn’t foreign policy — I’m asking them to do an investigation that they’re doing already and that other people are telling them to stop.

“And I’m going to give them reasons why they shouldn’t stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government.”

Last week, Ukraine’s embassy confirmed that a DNC insider reached out in 2016 to raise concerns about Manafort, given his previous work in the country.

“All ideas floated by [the DNC contractor] were related to approaching a Member of Congress with a purpose to initiate hearings on Paul Manafort or letting an investigative journalist ask President Poroshenko a question about Mr. Manafort during his public talk in Washington, D.C.,” Ukraine’s ambassador to the U.S., Valeriy Chaly, said. “The embassy representatives unambiguously refused to get involved in any way, as we were convinced that this is a strictly U.S. domestic matter.”

Ukraine’s investigation into interference with the U.S. election commenced after an unearthed audio recording showed that a senior Ukrainian anticorruption official apparently admitted to leaking Manafort’s financial information in 2016 — including his ties to pro-Russian actors in Ukraine — to benefit Clinton. The eventual leak of the so-called “black ledger” files led to Manafort’s abrupt departure from the Trump campaign.

Michigan Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib, like every American, had very strong feelings of fear in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Unlike every other American, Rep. Tlaib, one of three Muslims in Congress, was afraid of her fellow Americans and not the terrorists.

The controversial representative, who stated about President Donald trump that she wants to “impeach that m****rf****r,” made the statement in an interview with “The Makers.”

“I was probably my second year in law school when 9/11 happened. And I was– I was really terrified of what was going to happen to my husband, who’s only a green card holder at the time,” she said.

“I immediately called my brothers and told them to be very careful who you hang out with, telling my sisters, you know, just be real careful out there, and being really afraid of my fellow Americans.”

“It really pushed me to be more involved, and I got really curious and really angry,” the representative said.

“And I think that combination got me, you know, in front of a number of issues in the city of Detroit,” she said, The Blaze reported.

Tlaib came under scrutiny earlier in April for defending comments that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) made about 9/11 during a CAIR conference.

In March, Omar seemed to diminish the horror of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, saying that the attacks took place because “some people did something.”

Tlaib defended Omar during an MSNBC appearance.

“[People] do that all the time, especially women of color, they take our words out of context because they’re afraid because we speak truth, we speak truth to power,” Tlaib said. “This is just pure racist act.

“My sister, Ilhan Omar, what she was talking about, was uplifting people by supporting their civil liberties and civil rights,” Tlaib added. “She has always, always condemned any strategy, especially of a person directly impacted by a refugee herself.”

Tlaib said that the criticism filled her with rage.

“The fact that people are taking [Omar’s] words out of context and endangering the life of Rep. Omar is immoral, it’s wrong, and it needs to be called out by many colleagues in saying they need to stop, stop targeting her this way,” she said. “It’s absolutely putting her life in danger.”

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took the stage at SXSW this weekend and compared the United States to garbage.

“What’s really hard for people to sometimes see is that we are on this path of a slow erosion, and a slow slow slow just like — move away from what we’ve always been,” she said.

“You won’t even realize that you’ve drifted a hundred miles,” she said, suggested America has moved from where it should be.

“So when someone’s talking about ‘our core,’ they’re like, ‘oh, this is radical,’ but it isn’t radical. This is what we’ve always been,” the 29-year-old said, saying that socialism is a core American value.

“I think all of these things sound radical compared to where we are but where we are is not a good thing,” she said.

“One perfect example, I think a perfect example of how special interests and the powerful have pitted white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans in order to just screw over all working-class Americans, is Reaganism in the ’80s when he started talking about welfare queens,” she said.

“So you think about this image of welfare queens and what he was really trying to talk about was … this like really resentful vision of essentially black women who were doing nothing that were ‘sucks’ on our country,” she said.

“And it’s this whole tragedy of the commons type of thinking where it’s like because these one, this one specific group of people, that you are already kind of subconsciously primed to resent, you give them a different reason that’s not explicit racism but still rooted in a racist caricature,” she said.

“It gives people a logical reason, a ‘logical’ reason to say, ‘oh yeah, no, toss out the whole social safety net,’” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“And this idea of like, ten percent better than garbage, it shouldn’t be what we settle for,” she said.

A sitting representative in the United States Congress saying that America is 10 percent better than garbage.

Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar has continued her controversial nature in an interview where she bashed former President Obama.

In the interview published Friday she mocked the former president’s “hope and change” slogan as a “mirage.”

“Recalling the ‘caging of kids’ at the U.S.-Mexico border and the ‘droning of countries around the world’ on Obama’s watch, she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor,” Politico said.

“We can’t be only upset with Trump. … His policies are bad, but many of the people who came before him also had really bad policies,” she said.

“They just were more polished than he was,” she said. “And that’s not what we should be looking for anymore.”

“We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile,” she said.

The Minnesota representative who courts controversy also went after her fellow new Democrat representatives who are not part of her Squad with New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“I don’t believe that tiptoeing is the way to win the hearts and the minds of the people,” she said.

“I get saddened by some of my freshman colleagues who can’t understand that within their districts the idea of Medicare for All is extremely popular,” Omar said.

“The Green New Deal is a very popular idea in their districts. Making sure that we have a final fix to our broken immigration system is very popular in their districts,” she said.

“What they pay attention to is the rhetoric that says, ‘This is a red-to-blue district, you have to be careful, you can’t talk about these policies,’” she said.“Well, in reality, these people are like everyone else: They struggle with the cost of health care, they struggle with our broken infrastructure, they struggle with having an economy that brings them into the 21st century. And we have to be willing to have those conversations,” she said.

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has painted a picture of herself as a tough woman from the Bronx but it appears to be a façade.

It has been alleged before that she was raised in the affluent Westchester region of New York and was a fraud.

She has strongly denied those accusations and insisted she was raised in the Bronx and Westchester.

But now that she is a Congresswoman she insists that she resides full time in the Bronx and her brand is built on that premise.

That is when she is not living in her luxury apartment in Washington D.C. that has no units for the poor people she says she represents.

Now a new story in The New York Post casts serious doubts on that assertion.

She may be America’s most famous freshman congresswoman, but in New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a virtual ghost.

She has no district office and no local phone number, unlike the state’s three other freshman members.

And it’s unclear whether the 29-year-old lawmaker, who represents the Bronx and Queens, actually still lives in the Parkchester neighborhood that has been so closely tied to her rise — even though she won her upset victory over fellow Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley with accusations that his home in Virginia made him too Washington-focused to serve his district.

Ocasio-Cortez has used her deceased father’s Bronx condo on her voter registration since 2012, and even posed in the one-bedroom Bronx flat for celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz in a Vogue magazine profile after her stunning November election. But The Post could find little indication she continues to live there.

The Post e-mailed the Ocasio-Cortez’ spokesman, Corbin Trent, four times with specific questions — they were all ignored. On Saturday, The Post reached Corbin by phone.

“We will not be commenting,” he said. Among the queries he refused to answer: Where does the congresswoman live?

Ocasio-Cortez herself told a Post reporter that she would talk to him after an event on Saturday and had him wait for her downstairs.

But after 20 minutes of waiting and after her staffers read an advanced copy of the story exposing her, he found that she had snuck out the back door and left in a limousine.

The reporter spoke to neighbors of Ocasio-Cortez and found out some oddities in her Bronx story.

Her next door neighbor told The Post that she has never met the 29-year-old Congresswoman.

A postal worker said that in 10 years of delivering mail to the apartment he has only seen her occasionally and that her mail piles up for months.

“Just because their names are on the box doesn’t mean they live there,” he told The Post.

“Constituents come here and leave notes on the door,” he said. “But it’s a waste of time.”

House Speaker and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi is perhaps the biggest hypocrite in Congress.

For the better part of two years Pelosi has squawked and squealed about wanting President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.

She even sponsored a bill, H.R. 1, that would require presidential candidates in 2020 and beyond (read President Trump) to release their tax returns.

But lo and behold, guess who has not released their tax returns for the American citizens to review.

If you guessed Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House and third in line for the presidency, you are correct.

Pelosi’s Chief of Staff Drew Hammill told CNSNews that Pelosi “will gladly release her tax returns if and when she runs for president.”

As she is about to be 79-years-old next month the prospect of her running for president is highly unlikely.

But, as stated, she is third in line for the presidency and if she wants others to show their tax returns she should lead by example.

CNSNews.com asked Speaker Pelosi’s Press Spokesperson Taylor Griffin and Communications Director Ashley Etienne these questions:

Here are my questions:

New Attorney General William Barr is prepared to announce an end to the Mueller investigation.

And the announcement could come as early as next week CNN reported.

“Breaking right now on @CNN: A.G. Bill Barr “is preparing to announce as early as next week the completion of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, with plans for Barr to submit to Congress soon after a summary of Mueller’s confidential report, according to people familiar…” Brian Stelter of CNN said.

Attorney General Bill Barr is preparing to announce as early as next week the completion of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, with plans for Barr to submit to Congress soon after a summary of Mueller’s confidential report, according to people familiar with the plans.

The preparations are the clearest indication yet that Mueller is nearly done with his almost two-year investigation.

The precise timing of the announcement is subject to change.

The scope and contours of what Barr will send to Congress remain unclear. Also unclear is how long it will take Justice officials to prepare what will be submitted to lawmakers.

But with President Donald Trump soon to travel overseas for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Justice officials are mindful of not interfering with the White House’s diplomatic efforts, which could impact the timing.

The Justice Department and the special counsel’s office declined to comment.

Barr has said that he wants to be as “transparent” as possible with Congress and the public, “consistent with the rules and the law.”

Under the special counsel regulations, Mueller must submit a “confidential” report to the attorney general at the conclusion of his work, but the rules don’t require it to be shared with Congress, or by extension, the public. And, as Barr has made clear, the Justice Department generally guards against publicizing “derogatory” information about uncharged individuals.
