Fake news CNN announced that over 100 jobs had been cut amid a startling decline in ratings.
Deadline reports that “more than 100 seasoned workers at the cable news network” lost their jobs — meaning veterans, long time employees, those who have been around a while. Deadline also makes clear that these cuts –which CNN claims are “buyouts” – are actually layoffs as a result of the fact that CNN’s new parent company AT&T is looking to restructure and reduce debt.
Deadline adds, “The buyouts are consistent with similar offerings at HBO and Turner and will see dozens of seasoned employees leave the news brand.” The other layoffs being only in the dozens while CNN being hit with “more than 100,” should speak volumes about the current state of the far-left news company that is starving for views.
CNN’s chief media correspondent, Brian Stelter, has been tasked with damage control on this one. The left-wing media reporter – who regularly spreads fake news and conspiracy theories – attempts to disguise the disaster by spinning the cuts as “no layoffs” but rather “voluntary buyouts throughout the organization, and about 100 people opted for it.”
What he foolishly overlooks about his attempted coverup is that buyouts are layoffs with some compensation attached. What this means is that, “voluntary buyout” is corporate speak for “layoff.” Generally, if “buyouts” aren’t accepted by enough employees, layoffs follow. For all we know, CNN could have offered these 100-plus employees $1 just to call it a buyout in an attempt to remedy the negative optics that would surely ensue as a result.
If CNN refuses to tell the truth about its own layoffs, about something so obvious, you can only imagine the lies CNN is willing to tell about things that actually matter.
Also of interest is the news that some of CNN’s broadcast operations have moved to Hudson Yards in Manhattan by the water, signing a lease that would keep them there through 2034. Funny that a company that claims to believe in global warming, would move to a place that would be affected by rising tides. Unless that belief is really just an attempt to get more views – shocker.
The bad news continues to pile up for the fake news network that lost 25 percent of what had already been a minuscule audience after the Mueller Report debunked the Russia Collusion Hoax, which made up a majority of the dumpster fire of a channel’s programming for two years.
In fact, ever since CNN chief Jeff Zucker took over, the last-place channel has gotten every major story of the last five-plus years completely wrong:
- The Trayvon Martin Hoax
- The Hands Up, Don’t Shoot Hoax
- The Russia Collusion Hoax
- The Brett Kavanaugh Serial Rapist Hoax
- The Covington High School Boys Hoax
Throughout the country, due to its bias and hate mongering through weaponized fake news, the one-time most trusted name in news is now widely seen as a joke, a national punchline. The network has lost all respect and somehow even with all of that, Jeff Zucker was just promoted to President of CNN.
On top of its biases, partisan delusions, lies, and bizarre moments (e.g. wondering aloud if a passenger plane was swallowed by a black hole), CNN also plays a dangerous role in a notably fragile political climate.
CNN launches almost daily hate campaigns against its political enemies on the right — especially Trump, his supporters, and gun owners (including rape victims) — and not only supports, but also encourages political violence and conspiracy theories to achieve its left-wing goals.
Throughout last month, CNN averaged only 767,000 prime time viewers, well below a third of the 2.4 million who tuned into Fox News. Perhaps the people are finally tired of the CNN’s clear manipulation of the masses and the numbers are starting to reflect it.
