As news of the coronavirus spreading continues, the media stokes the flames of fear and panic. Democrats have tried to lie about the virus, to hurt the president prop up their political careers. But the administration has been at work since day one. And Vice President Pence offers some much-needed insight.
Is there anything more pathetic than spreading worries about a disease, just to score political points? I don’t know, you’d have to ask the Democrats. In their desperate bid to topple Trump, they’ve been making the news about the coronavirus sound much worse than it is. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have ignored the steps Trump has taken to protect Americans.
Worse than that, Joe Biden and Mike Bloomberg openly lied about Trump’s response to the outbreak. Even the Associated Press, which is no fan of the president, had to expose the dishonesty of these 2020 candidates.
An Associated Press fact check confirms what Breitbart News reported earlier this week: that Democrat presidential candidates are falsely claiming that President Donald Trump cut funding and personnel needed to fight coronavirus…
“Democratic presidential contenders are describing the federal infectious-disease bureaucracy as rudderless and ill-prepared for the coronavirus threat because of budget cuts and ham-handed leadership by President Donald Trump. That’s a distorted picture.” [Source: Breitbart]
It’s all an orchestrated attack so you would panic over a virus that is causing very little damage worldwide (unless you’re in China). The facts remain that unless you are of an advanced age and have a weak immune system, you have nothing to worry about.
But that won’t stop the media from hyping up this virus in the coming weeks. These pathetic news outlets need something to get you to click on their links. And if it contributes to a faltering stock market and bruised economy—hurting Trump’s re-election chances—all the more reason to lie.
The Vice President was not willing to let these con artists have the upper hand. In a recent interview, he made it clear that the United States has nothing to fear from this virus.
During an interview aired on Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Vice President Mike Pence declared that “The risk of the spread of the coronavirus in the United States of America remains low.”
… ”And it’s a direct result of the unprecedented action that President Trump took last month, when he closed our border to Chinese individuals coming into the country and also established a quarantining effort. Our White House Coronavirus Task Force has literally been meeting every day for the last six weeks. And the American people can be confident that we’re going to bring, at the president’s direction, the full resources of the federal government to bear to protect the people of this country.” [Source: Breitbart]
Long before the media was hyping up this virus, the administration was taking action. Closing our borders was perhaps the smartest thing we could have done. Trump ordered that long before any other country was even preparing. That eliminated the biggest threat to the spread of this disease in the United States.
On top of that, Trump instituted quarantine measures, so that anyone coming from outside the country would have been examined and cleared.
These are basic measures that can ensure the United States won’t face the “pandemic” of this virus. Measures that none of the Democrats thought of or endorsed. Instead, they rely on the dishonest media to distort the news, so none of us feel safe.
How’s that for leadership?
As the rest of the world freaks out and possibly blunders their response, Americans can rest easy. We have leaders that work around the clock, diligently doing their job. That’s a far cry from past administrations, that worried more about how the media covered them, then our well-being.
Imagine how this crisis would have played out, if Bernie Sanders’ was president? God help us.
