President Donald Trump on Thursday returned fire on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who has spent the majority of the week attacking the president from the comfort of her California mansion.

“Crazy ‘Nancy Pelosi, you are a weak person. You are a poor leader. You are the reason America hates career politicians, like yourself,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning, tagging Fox News host Sean Hannity, who also laid into the Democrat leader Wednesday night.

“She is totally incompetent & controlled by the Radical Left, a weak and pathetic puppet,” Trump continued. “Come back to Washington and do your job!”

Pelosi has dedicated her time away from Washington to attacking the president at every turn in an attempt to undermine everything the White House has done in response to COVID-19.

Earlier this week, Pelosi sent a letter to her Democratic colleagues criticizing the president for his coronavirus response, claiming he “dismantled the infrastructure handed to him which was meant to plan for and overcome a pandemic, resulting in unnecessary deaths and economic disaster”

She also objected to the President’s decision decision to cut off funding to the World Health Organization, calling the move “illegal,” despite the fact that the WHO’s response to the global pandemic had major flaws that should not be overlooked.

Pelosi instead blamed President Trump, “This is another case, as I have said, of the president’s ineffective response, that ‘a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others,” Pelosi said. “This decision [to defund the WHO] is dangerous, illegal and will be swiftly challenged.”

Thursday Morning the SBA funds contained in the more than $2 trillion dollar stimulus plan were officially depleted. These funds were intended to act as a lifeline for American small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

As republicans looked to add an extra $250 billion of emergency funding to the bill, Senate Democrats left small businesses out to dry by blocking the crucial add-on measure.

Pelosi gave praise to her fellow Dems over the move after earlier saying that there was “no data” to suggest the fund was in need of further funding.

Pelosi is not planning a return to Washington, D.C. until May 4th at the earliest absent an earlier emergency.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to adjourn Congress in order to appoint judges and other federal officials to help deal with the coronavirus crisis.

“If the House will not agree to that adjournment, I will exercise my constitutional authority to adjourn both chambers of Congress. The current practice of leaving town while conducting phony pro forma sessions is a dereliction of duty that the American people cannot afford during this crisis,” Trump said at a White House briefing. “It is a scam what they do.”

“Perhaps it’s never been done before. Nobody’s even sure if it has. But we’re going to do it,” Trump said. “We need these people here.”

“The current practice of leaving town while conducting phony pro forma sessions is a dereliction of duty that the American people cannot afford during this crisis,” Trump said. “It is a scam, what they do. It’s a scam. And everybody knows it and it’s been that way for a long time.”
