Donald Trump has a history of endorsing conservative candidates. Oftentimes, these candidates go on to win, even in unlikely races. It’s no secret that Republicans eagerly seek his endorsement or an appearance at their rallies. But President Trump took to Twitter to vow he would endorse anyone, as long as it’s not this Alaskan senator.
At this point, it’s shocking to think that there are any major Republicans opposed to Donald Trump. Sure, there will always be politicians who disagree within the own party, but this is the President of the United States. Trump’s bombastic style aside, he has kept his word again and again—fulfilling conservative goals once thought impossible.
Anyone who calls themselves Republican should be applauding the man. Yet there are several Republican senators that seem totally opposed to his agenda. These apparent “Never Trumpers” claim to be conservative, but their voting record tells another story.
During crucial times in country’s recent history, these senators were needed to stand up for the president. Yet they crumbled, revealing their true colors. Is it because they are from “moderate” states and fear losing their jobs?
That can’t be. Because even Susan Collins of Maine did the right thing when she stood up for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, and voted down the impeachment charges.
But there are some “Republicans” who couldn’t even do that. We know Mitt Romney was the only one who voted for impeachment. And this other Republican, from a fairly conservative state, consistently opposes the president.
Trump has had enough and made an ominous promise.
Few people know where they’ll be in two years from now, but I do, in the Great State of Alaska (which I love) campaigning against Senator Lisa Murkowski. She voted against HealthCare, Justice Kavanaugh, and much else…
…Unrelated, I gave Alaska ANWR, major highways, and more. Get any candidate ready, good or bad, I don’t care, I’m endorsing. If you have a pulse, I’m with you! [Source: Twitter]
Woah, this is pretty brutal, even for Trump. He calls out Sen. Murkowski over her voting record. She voted against repealing and replacing Obamacare, voted against Brett Kavanaugh, and other issues Trump championed. The president said “good or bad” he’d back another candidate over her.
If that seems harsh and flippant to you, keep one thing in mind. Trump deals with these people on a daily basis. Do you think he’d make this public announcement, without first trying to win over Murkowski and her staff?
Trump has tried to negotiate with Democrats over major bills—only for them storm out of the room. He is willing to make a deal with anyone, if the outcome is for the good of the country. Hell, he was able to meet with North Korea. For him to openly come out against Murkowski like this means that he’s tried, again and again, to work with her over privately.
But the RINO has seemingly refused. So, he’s taking his decision to the people.
You might be wondering just why a senator from Alaska would betray both the president and the Republican Party. It’s simple, when you think about it.
We all know many politicians say one thing to voters, but do something different in Washington. There are some Republicans who do the “conservative dance” during election season. But back in D.C., they bow to the same globalist special interest groups that Democrats serve. They don’t care about putting Americans first, only lining their pockets.
People like Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, and the late John McCain. Is Lisa Murkowski among these hacks? Her voting record doesn’t help her.
And Trump’s public non-endorsement is a sign that he’s done trying to win her over. This D.C. swamp dweller has refused to cooperate for the good of the country, so Trump is cutting her loose.
Let’s hope there’s one less con artist in D.C. soon.
