The Democrats experienced a full-blown meltdown after the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett – promising to exact revenge on Republicans for the conservative win that deals a major blow to Dems’ ability to advance their radical left wing agenda.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was among those who notably threatened retaliation over the move, warning that Republicans will live to “regret this.”
“The Republican majority is lighting its credibility on fire … The next time the American people give Democrats a majority in this chamber, you will have forfeited the right to tell us how to run that majority,” Schumer argued.
“My colleagues may regret this for a lot longer than they think,” he added.
Schumer continued on, pretending to be mad on behalf of the American people, but then revealing his true colors by reciting liberal talking points regarding some of their most radical policy ideas.
“Generations yet unborn will suffer the consequences of this nomination. As the globe gets warmer, as workers continue to fall behind, as unlimited dark money floods our politics, as reactionary state legislatures curtail a woman’s right to choose, gerrymandered districts and limit the rights of minorities to vote, my deepest, greatest, and most abiding sadness tonight is for the American people and what this nomination will mean for their lives, their freedoms, their fundamental rights.”
Schumer later tried painting the major conservative win as a dark and gloomy day for the nation – simply because Democrats didn’t get their way.
“Today will go down as one of the darkest days in the Senate’s 231-year history,” he wrote. “The Senate GOP is thwarting the will of the people and confirming a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court in the middle of a presidential election. Democrats will never stop fighting for Americans.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reacted by attempting to label the revised court as a “radical Republican” one, regurgitating a false narrative that the president intends to leave millions of Americans without healthcare.
“Congress will have to reverse the damage of a radical Republican court and defend pre-existing condition protections together with every other benefit and protection of the Affordable Care Act,” Pelosi said in a statement. “With this usurped Supreme Court seat, the President is ripping away millions of families’ health care in the middle of a pandemic that has infected over 8.6 million and killed nearly one-quarter of a million Americans.”
Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris also threatened that Democrats would not forget the move, re-using the same false claims that Pelosi and the rest of the left-wing party have been programmed to repeat.
“Today Republicans denied the will of the American people by confirming a Supreme Court justice through an illegitimate process,” Harris claimed, “all in their effort to gut the Affordable Care Act and strip health care from millions with pre-existing conditions.
Harris added, “We won’t forget this.”
Other Democrats – particularly members of the squad, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar – called for packing the high court in order for them to regain control of it.
The clearly triggered Democrats have attempted to maintain that the move by Republicans to confirm Barrett just ahead of the election is somehow wrong, but recent polling has found that the majority of Americans supported confirming Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
Reportedly, the hearings which she took part in only served to boost support for her confirmation as public support grew with each appearance she made.
According to the poll, only 28 percent of people opposed her confirmation with only 27 percent supporting the Democrat’s radical push to overhaul the high court by adding new justices.
