Former President Trump issued a statement in rebuttal to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), calling him a “business as usual” politician with “status quo policies” and “a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack.”

Trump said:

With leaders ‘like’ McConnell at the helm, the Republican Party can never be strong again. McConnell’s dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse.

The statement also included Trump’s thoughts on the Georgia Senate races:

The election in Georgia was a complete disaster, along with other swing states. McConnell will never do what needs to be done in order to ensure election integrity in the future. McConnell does nothing. He doesn’t have what it takes, never did, and never will.

Trump restated the fact that he received more votes than any other sitting president. With 75 million votes, the former president called on Republican leaders to not waste such a precious opportunity to reclaim congress and fulfill the wishes of the American people.

Despite remaining mostly silent since falling victim to Big Tech’s censorship campaign, Trump hit McConnell hard. Following the minority leader’s scathing op-ed published this week attacking President Trump, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
