With all the hype over the Joe Biden versus Bernie Sanders face-off during Tuesday night’s Democratic primaries, a dirty little secret for the Democrats was revealed in California, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn’t going to like it: nine seats currently held by Democrats in California look vulnerable enough that the GOP might grab them.

As J.D. Rucker notes at NOQ Report:

Keep two things in mind. First, these aren’t nine seats that are deemed “in play” through some election miracle. These are nine seats currently held by Democrats where Republicans have the upper hand based on analysis of Tuesday’s primary votes. Second—and this is very important to understand—with only one statewide ballot measure, the main draw was the Democratic presidential primary in which Republicans may not vote. That means that even without the draw of a presidential primary choice, nine seats showed Republicans either within striking distance or outright beating Democrats.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported, “Republicans took a strong first step in the primary election toward grabbing back at least some of the seven California congressional districts that Democrats flipped in 2018. With millions of late-arriving mail ballots still uncounted from Tuesday’s election, Republicans have so far combined for a majority of the votes in six of those seven districts. GOP candidates have solid leads in two of them.”

The Chronicle noted, “In Orange County, GOP candidates were winning a majority of the votes in three of the four targeted districts.” Fred Whitaker, chairman of the Orange County GOP, stated, “On Tuesday night, the waters of the blue wave began to recede … and Republicans showed that we will take back Orange County. The pathway to restoring the House of Representatives is through Orange County.”

Here was the data at the time of Rucker’s post on Wednesday:

District 7: Although incumbent Ami Berra garnered 44.5% of the total votes cast, and his Democratic challenger Jeff Burdick gained 6.6%, their total was not significantly ahead of the total of GOP candidates Buzz Patterson (38.9%) and Jon Ivy (7.8%), and that was with a heavy turnout for the Democratic presidential primary. Rucker noted of Patterson, a former carrier of the “nuclear football” for President Clinton and former Air Force Lt. Colonel, “If he can get some wind on his back, he has a strong chance of flipping the seat and beating the incumbent.”

District 10: With 58% of precincts reporting, Dem Josh Harder had 38.9% of the vote; GOP candidate Ted Howze had 38.2%. GOP candidates had a total of 56.3% of the vote.

District 16:Jim Costa (Dem) 37.5%; the GOP’s Kevin Cookingham 38.5%. Rucker noted, “Costa is clearly in trouble with his own base; this is the first time he’s faced other Democrats for his 16th district seat. It’s also the only time he’s come in second in the primary.”

District 21: David Valadao (GOP) 54.1%; Dems total; 43.1%.

District 24: Salud Carbajal (Dem) 51.8%; Andy Caldwell (GOP) 44.5%. Rucker pointed out, “The last two elections, Democrat Salud Carbajal has easily won CA-24, defeating his opponent by over 17-points in 2018.”

District 25: This is ex-Congresswoman Democrat Katie Hill’s district; the Democrat, Christy Smith, won 30.25% while the two GOP candidates, Mike Garcia and Steve Knight, won 27.4% and 20.4% respectively. (55% of precincts reporting)

District 39: In a rematch of the 2018 election, GOP candidate Young Kim won 52.4% of the cote, incumbent Gil Cisneros won 42.6%

District 45: Democratic incumbent Katie Porter got 48.1% of the vote; GOP candidates got the rest, 51.9%

District 48: Rucker noted that the incumbent, Harley Rouda, got roughly 10% less than the GOP candidates’ total.

District 50: The Democratic candidate, Ammar Campa-Najjar, got 34.4%; the three GOP candidates totaled almost 60%.

On Wednesday, President Trump took aim at Adam Schiff, retweeting a video depicting Schiff as perennial loser Wile E. Coyote in a mock Road Runner cartoon. The video was tweeted out by Dan Scavino, the Assistant to the President and Director of Social Media at the White House.

In the 90-second “Politizoid” cartoon, produced by “Hollywood U.S.A., AKA Adam Schiff’s Back Yard,” titled, “Schiff Hits the Fan,” the Road Runner, retitled Trump Runner (Tweetatus Maximus), is speeding along a desert road. The scene then shifts to Schiff, named Schiff T. Coyote (Politicus Hackitus) as Wile E. Coyote, doing his best to ratchet up “collusion tension” on a catapult loaded down with a huge boulder, with the catapult named “Catapults of Mueller.” As the Road Runner flashes past, Schiff, behind the boulder, yanks on the rope to launch the catapult and fling the boulder, but the weight of the boulder actually flips the catapult backward and pulverizes Schiff into the ground.

Next scene: atop a cliff overlooking the road, Schiff is ready with a box of “Instant Obstruction Boulders” which require only a drop from a syringe to make them grow from pebbles to huge boulders. Schiff adds a drop from the syringe, triggering the instant growth of the boulder, which promptly crushes him underneath it.

Third scene: Schiff is astride a rocket labeled “Impeachment” which is also labeled, “Powered by CNN.” He lights the fuse, launching him zooming after the Road Runner. When the rocket is stopped by flying directly into something immoveable, Schiff is left flying through the air after the Road Runner into a tunnel, where the “Trump Non Stop’ 2020 Express train” with the Road Runner atop the engine soon comes roaring from the other direction and chasing after Schiff scurrying back the other way.

The characters of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote were created by animator Chuck Jones and writer Michale Maltese in 1948 for Warner Brothers. At the beginning of the cartoon mocking Schiff, the credits read, “A Looney Tunes Production. Apologies To Chuck Jones.”

In one Road Runner short, “Zoom at the Top,” Road Runner was called “Disappearialis Quickius” and Wile E. Coyote was identified as “Overconfidentii Vulgaris.”

In December, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions said of Schiff”

He’s become obsessed with this; Democrats have gotten so wired up and amped up that they’re not objective any more. Jonathan Turley, Professor Turley has said that this will be the narrowest base for an impeachment in our history … the danger is that Congress will overreach it will set a precedent for too readily bringing impeachment charges … what of the things I learned as Attorney General: it is hard to run this government. And these kinds of things distract every leader, every day and take them away from the responsibilities the American people want to see them do.

Jones wrote in his book “Chuck Amuck: The Life and Times of an Animated Cartoonist,” “The Coyote could stop anytime — if he were not a fanatic.”

On Monday, the White House announced that President Trump had signed S. 151, the Pallone-Thune TRACED Act, which will prevent criminal robocalls.

The White House stated:

This historic legislation will provide American consumers with even greater protection against annoying unsolicited robocalls. American families deserve control over their communications, and this legislation will update our laws and regulations to stiffen penalties, increase transparency, and enhance government collaboration to stop unwanted solicitation. President Donald J. Trump is proud to have worked with Congress to get this bipartisan legislation to his desk, and even prouder to sign it into law today.

The Federal Trade Commission explains, “A robocall trying to sell you something is illegal unless a company has your written permission to call you that way. To get your permission, the company has to be clear it’s asking to call you with robocalls, and it can’t make you agree to the calls to get a product or service. If you give permission, you have the right to change your mind later.”

Senator John Thune (R-SD) stated in December:

I have yet to meet someone who says they enjoy receiving those unwanted and illegal robocalls that plague our phones, whether we’re at home, at work, or in the car, which is why the TRACED Act takes several important steps in the fight to curb this scourge. This bill represents a unique legislative effort that is not only bipartisan at its core, but it’s nearly unanimously supported in Congress. Most importantly, this is a significant win for consumers in every corner of the country, and it finally and officially puts illegal robocallers on notice. While no process is perfect, I’m glad we were able to work together with Republicans and Democrats, senators and members of the House to reach this important compromise, which, once signed into law, will begin to make an important down payment on the fight against illegal robocalls.”

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) echoed:

The U.S. Senate today sent Americans a holiday gift on everyone’s list: stopping the plague of robocalls. The annoying and harassing robocalls we receive every day are neither a Democrat nor Republican menace; they are a universal menace. The TRACED Act cracks down on scammers by requiring phone carriers to authenticate whether calls are legitimate, and then blocking unverified robocalls at no charge to consumers. I thank Senator Thune for his unwavering partnership on this important consumer protection issue. I hope the President quickly signs this bill into law so that families can enjoy a new year of family calls instead of robocalls.

Thune’s website explained that the bill:

Broadens the authority of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to levy civil penalties of up to $10,000 per call on people who intentionally flout telemarketing restrictions. Extends the window for the FCC to catch and take civil enforcement action against intentional violations to four years after a robocall is placed. Under current law, the FCC has only one year to do so, and the FCC has told the committee that “even a one-year longer statute of limitations for enforcement” would improve enforcement against violators … Requires voice service providers to adopt call authentication technologies, enabling a telephone carrier to verify that incoming calls are legitimate before they reach consumers’ phones.

On Sunday, appearing on ABC News “This Week” with host Martha Raddatz, Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) conceded he might vote for acquittal if President Trump is tried in the Senate. Jones stated, “I’m trying to see if the dots get connected. If that is the case, then I think it’s a serious matter. I think it’s an impeachable matter. But if those dots aren’t connected and there are other explanations that I think are consistent with innocence, I will go that way too.”

The conversation began with Jones defending House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that she would not forward the the articles of impeachment from the House to the Senate until she could get concessions from Senate GOP leaders on securing witnesses in a trial. Jones said, “Well, I certainly don’t think it’s unfair for her to do that … I think what the speaker is doing is to say, what are the rules going to be when I send House managers over there? What kind of playing field are we going to have? What is the timing of this?”

Raddatz’s partisanship was on display when she covered up the alleged improper collusion and coordination between Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Acorn in 2008. Jim A. Kuypers noted in his book, “Partisan Journalism: A History of Media Bias in the United States,” “the activist approach taken by ABC’s Martha Raddatz in the October 11 vice-presidential debate and by CNN’s Candy Crowley in the October 16 town-hall debate, as both of those journalists repeatedly interrupted the Republican candidate and larded the discussion with a predominantly liberal agenda.”

Raddatz theorized the alleged crimes of Trump far superseded the crimes committed by former President Bill Clinton that triggered his impeachment, saying, “ … this is very different than President Clinton’s impeachment. House Democrats have called the president a clear and present danger to this country and our upcoming elections. If he’s so dangerous, why are House Democrats suddenly slowing down?”

Jones protested, “Well, I don’t think that they’re slowing anything down. We’re not going to be back for awhile. I don’t think they’re slowing anything down.

Raddatz asked, “Let’s talk about the vote. The majority leader has said that he believes that at least one or two Democrats in the Senate could defect and vote to acquit the president. Is he talking about you?”

Jones replied, “I have no idea what Mitch McConnell’s talking about these days.”

Raddatz pressed, “I know, sir, you say you’re going to be an impartial juror. Given everything we have already seen in the House and that phone call, what is it that you need to know more about? What reason could there be to make you not vote to convict the president?”

Jones responded, “I didn’t sit in front of the TV set the entire time the last two or three months. I’ve been trying to read this. I’m trying to see if the dots get connected. If that is the case, then I think it’s a serious matter. I think it’s an impeachable matter.”

But then, conscious that he comes from a highly conservative state and was only elected because he ran against a problematic GOP candidate, he shifted to this: “But if those dots aren’t connected and there are other explanations that I think are consistent with innocence, I will go that way too. I have got to make sure that I — what I really want to see, though, is to — to fill in the gaps. There are gaps.”

Raddatz, knowing what was causing Jones to vacillate, asked, “I know you voted against the Kavanaugh nomination and still managed to win your Senate seat, but there are Republican strategists who say if you vote to impeach President Trump, in your deeply red state, he basically signs his death warrant. Is that what you’re doing there? Do you — are you worried about that? Quickly, if you can.”

Jones stammered, “Absolutely — no — you know, Martha, let me tell you. My — my — my — I have a — I have a — I took an oath as a U.S. senator. I’m going to take another oath. And that’s where I — my — my duty is.”

The man who was the Obama administration’s chief of removing illegal immigrants said on Wednesday that it was his boss, President Barack Obama, who had the idea of putting illegal immigrant children in the “cages” that Democrats have used as a bludgeon against President Trump.

Thomas Homan, Obama’s executive associate director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement between May 2013 and January 2017, was responsible for “promoting public safety and national security by maintaining direct oversight of critical ICE programs and operations to identify, locate, arrest, detain and remove illegal aliens from the United States,” according to his LinkedIn profile. Since January 2017, he has served as Acting Director for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

He stated on Wednesday, “I’ve been to that facility, where they talk about cages. That facility was built under President Obama under (Homeland Security) Secretary Jeh Johnson. I was there because I was there when it was built,” according to The Washington Examiner.

Homan, speaking at the conference hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies, noted a Democratic chairman who asked a Trump official, “You still keeping kids in cages?” He snapped, “I would answer the question, ‘The kids are being housed in the same facility built under the Obama administration.’ If you want to call them cages, call them cages. But if the left wants to call them cages and the Democrats want to call them cages then they have to accept the fact that they were built and funded in FY 2015.”

Homan said that the Border Patrol facilities where illegal immigrants are detained “were not built to take care of children,” adding, “It’s chain link dividers that keeps children separate from unrelated adults. It’s about protecting children.”

In June 2017, as The Washington Examiner pointed out, Homan told a House Appropriations subcommittee:

It isn’t the fault of law enforcement that people get separated. It’s the fault of the perpetrator. If someone enters this country illegally and knows he’s in the country illegally and is found to be in the country illegally and is ordered removed from the country and chooses to have a child in this country that’s a U.S. citizen by virtue of birth, he put himself in that position, so ICE is not separating that family.

Unlike other agencies, we do this despite a constant deluge of biased attacks against ICE personnel by those who disagree with the laws we enforce. While I recognize that people have the right to protest laws they don’t agree with I want to emphasize to the public and to the media and to this committee that ice officers don’t write the laws. They enforce the laws …

We are all blessed to live in the greatest country on earth and I can’t blame anybody who wants to live here… But we are also a country built on the foundation of the rule of law. Those who choose to enter this country illegally which is a crime, a federal crime, or to overstay their visa have knowingly chosen to break the law. Meanwhile, millions of people who have become permanent members of our society through our generous legal channels, they have shown their respect for the rule of law and for the American people.

On Tuesday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on her comparison of the situation at the southern border of the United States to the concentration camps of the Holocaust. She was promptly reprimanded by Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who gave her a lesson in reality as well as firing a challenge directly at her. Fellow Texan Steven Crowder also slammed Ocasio-Cortez with a lacerating tweet.

As The Daily Wire reported, on Monday night Ocasio-Cortez said during a live Instagram video, “The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps. And, um, if that doesn’t bother you, I don’t, I don’t know, I like, we can have, okay whatever.” She also alluded to the Holocaust by adding the words “Never Again,” blathering, “I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that we should not that ‘Never Again’ means something and that the fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”

On Tuesday morning Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, “This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying. This is not hyperbole. It is the conclusion of expert analysis. And for the shrieking Republicans who don’t know the difference: concentration camps are not the same as death camps. Concentration camps are considered by experts as ‘the mass detention of civilians without trial.’ And that’s exactly what this administration is doing.”

Crenshaw fired back, “Clearly I need to explain that, in concentration camps, people are unjustly sought out and confined. This isn’t what is happening at the border. Migrants are illegally crossing our border. Most are asylum seekers, thus pending trial, so your expert definition doesn’t apply. Your comments reveal total disregard for our sovereignty & a deep ignorance that belittles the horrors of the Holocaust. If you’re worried about conditions at the border, why don’t you do something about it & support @RepMikeRogersAL’s bill securing billions in humanitarian aid?”

Even one Canadian who considers himself a liberal also took issue with Ocasio-Cortez, writing, “I’m not a shrieking republican. I am a left of centre member of the canadian liberal party. And I find your use of the phrase ‘concentration camp’ utterly baffling. In my opinion it is inappropriate and detracts from otherwise legitimate criticism of what is going on. And I don’t give a flying s*** what ‘historically’ ivory tower academics called it, today it is firmly associated with the Holocaust and the Nazi extermination of the Jews. The far left is so hell bent on labeling everything in the worst terms possible they lose sight of the debate.”

Crowder issued a tweet that was simple and powerful:

A new CNN poll acknowledges something that must terribly bother the network: 54% of respondents in the poll believe that President Trump will win reelection, a huge eleven-point hike from last December, when that number was 43%.

Speaking on CNN on Wednesday, host John Berman said disbelievingly, “They believe the president, despite everything, will win reelection next year.” He added, shocked, “What’s more, that number is up double digits since December.”

Turning to his panel, Berman asked CNN political director David Chalian, “David, I want to start with you. This is always an interesting number to me ‘cause often it does go hand-in-hand with success; people end up knowing who’s going to win beforehand often. What do you attribute this shift to?”

Chalian noted that the rise in Trump’s numbers largely were responses from dispirited Democrats who reluctantly see the strength of Trump’s chances:

The psychology of the voters, right? People also like to be with a winner, so it gives that you sense. If you look under the numbers, John, one of the things that you can attribute the increase in that perception to is actually to Democrats, to people who disapprove of Donald Trump’s job performance. They did not think he was going to win re-election, but we should be clear, three-quarters of them still don’t think that, now a quarter of Democrats in this poll believe he is going to win re-election. That’s up when we tested this in December, that’s up from 14%. So even though they’re rooting against it, they seem, Democrats, to be a little more of the mind that he may actually come out victorious.

Hilariously, Berman than asked, “Is that good?”

Chalian himself is no fan of Trump. As Caleb Howe noted last November, Chalian ripped into President Trump after Trump alleged fraud and misconduct in the vote count and recount in Florida. Chalian stated, “I think that he is dismantling a fundamental pillar of our democracy, which is the sanctity of the vote. And he wants to discredit election results that he thinks aren’t in his favor. His dismantling of institutional pillars of our Democracy–It’s just so offensive to hear him talk this way.”

Howe pointed out that Chalian didn’t mention numerous Democrats or media personalities who had questioned the voting results of last November’s election, including CNN’s own Van Jones, writing of the Georgia gubernatorial race and failed Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams, “Her campaign was so good, and she is so compelling, that Abrams would almost certainly be governor-elect right now — if the election had been fair. As the final votes are tallied, Kemp enjoys a razor-thin margin — but it is the product of misconduct so brazen and unethical that UN monitors would likely declare a stolen election if the contest were held in another country.”

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) ranted, “If Stacey Abrams (D) doesn’t win [the governor’s race] in Georgia, they stole it. It’s clear.” Brown added that Republicans “can’t win elections because there is way more of us than them. They can’t win elections fairly.”

Former DNC chairman and presidential candidate Howard Dean added, “This is a pattern in many places in Georgia. I am amazed that Kemp is so obvious about his efforts to steal the election. The failures of machines and personnel around the states are massive.”

Add in Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: “In a democracy, no one—not even the President—can prevent the lawful counting of votes. We will not allow him or anyone else to steal this election.”

In what could be really bad news for Democrats, according to CNN’s Laura Jarrett, Attorney General William Barr is now drawing the net tighter around those people who may have targeted Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign; he’s working with the CIA, National Intelligence and the FBI to investigate surveillance issues related to the Trump campaign.

Jarrett reported that on Tuesday, President Trump told reporters he did not direct Barr to involve other agencies, saying, “I didn’t ask him to do that. I didn’t know it. But I think it’s a great thing that he did it. I saw it last night, and they want to look at how that whole hoax got started. You know what? I am so proud of our attorney general, that he is looking into it. I think it’s great.” U.S. attorney John Durham has joined Barr as the investigation gets underway; the DOJ’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, is also involved; he has been reviewing the surveillance warrant the FBI obtained targeting Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page as well as the FBI relying on the unverified dossier produced by British ex-spy Christopher Steele that targeted Trump.

Joseph diGenova, a former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, said last week that Horowitz found that Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant extensions against Page had been illegally obtained. Speaking on Fox Business, diGenova said Democrats were launching their investigations into President Trump to direct the public away from what Horowitz might find. He stated, “They are doing that as a diversionary tactic away from the inevitable conclusions of the DOJ inspector general, Michael Horowitz, who, by the way, we have learned has concluded that the final three FISA extensions were illegally obtained. The only question now is whether or not the first FISA was illegally obtained.”

DiGenova added that Horowitz “apparently, as a result of those disclosures … which he was unaware of — the bureau hid those memos from Horowitz — as a result of that they’re doing additional work on the first FISA. It may be that all four FISAs will have been obtained illegally.”

On May 1, Senator Lindsay Graham warned that an investigation would be coming, saying:

The other campaign. The other campaign was investigated, not by Mr. Mueller, by people within the Department of Justice. The accusation against the Clinton–Secretary Clinton was that she set a private server up somewhere in her house, and classified information was on it, to avoid the disclosure requirements and the transparency requirements required of being Secretary of State. So that was investigated. What do we know? We know that the person in charge of investigating hated Trump’s guts. I don’t know how Mr. Mueller felt about Trump, but I don’t think anybody on our side believes that he had a personal animosity toward the president to the point he couldn’t do his job …

We’re going to, in a bipartisan way, I hope deal with Russia, but when the Mueller report is put to bed, and it soon will be, this committee is going to look long and hard at how this all started. We’re going to look at the FISA warrant process. Did Russia provide Christopher Steele the information about Trump that turned out to be garbage that was used to get a warrant on an American citizen, and if so, how did the system fail? Was there a real effort between Papadopoulos and anybody in Russia to use the Clinton emails stolen by–stole by the Russians, or was that thought planted in his mind? I don’t know, but we’re going to look. And I can tell you this. If you change the names, you all would want to look, too. Everything I just said, just substitute Clinton for Trump and see what all these people with cameras would be saying out here about this.

On Friday, Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan confirmed that the Pentagon has authorized an additional $1.5 billion to extend the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border 80 more miles.

Shanahan stated, according to Stars and Stripes: “The Department of Defense is fully engaged in addressing the crisis on our southwest border, with more than 4,000 servicemembers and 19 aircraft currently supporting the Department of Homeland Security. Today, I authorized the transfer of $1.5 billion toward the construction of more than 80 miles of border barrier. The funds were drawn from a variety of sources, including cost savings, programmatic changes, and revised requirements, and therefore will have minimal impact on force readiness.”

The additional $1.5 billion comes after the transfer of $1 billion for an additional 60 miles of wall in Yuma, Arizona and El Paso, Texas, that was made in March.

Fox News reports, “But the plan to divert Pentagon funding has sparked criticism from congressional Democrats, who accused Shanahan of not seeking approval to ‘reprogram’ the funds without congressional authority. Shanahan and other senior defense officials claimed in response they did not have to get permission from Congress despite the objections from Democratic lawmakers.”

The funds being transferred come from the Afghan Security Forces Fund, which describes itself as providing “assistance to the security forces of Afghanistan to include the provision of equipment, supplies, services, training, facility and infrastructure repair, renovation and construction, and funding.”

AP reported in late February that Shanahan visited the southern border and asserted, “How do we get out of treating the symptoms and get at the root of the issue? I don’t want to just add resources and not fix the problem.” AP wrote, “Shanahan said he was not volunteering the Pentagon to take over any part of border control, which is the responsibility of the Department of Homeland Security. But he said his visit led him to question whether there should be a ‘wholesale redesign’ of the way border control is done by the federal government.”

The Hill reported on Friday that Democrats would fight against transferring money for the wall:

The House Appropriations Committee on Thursday advanced a bill that would prohibit using military construction funds on a border wall. The prohibition, included in the fiscal 2020 military construction and veterans affairs appropriations bill, would prohibit funds from the 2015 through 2020 fiscal years from being “obligated, expended or used to design, construct, or carry out a project to construct a wall, barrier, fence, or road” along the U.S. southern border. And House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-Wash.) told Shanahan during a panel hearing in March that the Pentagon would likely lose the reprogramming authority if it moved forward with the $1 billion funding transfer.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) added, “Funds for the wall should not be stolen from previously approved vital military construction projects that are a higher priority than any wall … Military construction dollars should be used only for the purpose they are provided, which is to support the Department of Defense’ mission, service members and their families.”

On Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported that advisors to President Trump are not going to refrain from using the findings of the Mueller report against the Democrats; the Journal quoted Bryan Lanza, a deputy communications director for Trump’s 2016 campaign, asserting, “You better believe we’re going to bludgeon them.”

In line with that perspective, the Trump campaign released a video to supporters on Sunday titled, “Collusion Hoax” that showed various Democratic politicians accusing Trump of collusion with the Russians as the screen slammed them as “WRONG” with a buzzer going off. At the end of the 40-second video, the screen advised viewers to text “WITCHHUNT” to a campaign number to sign up for alerts.

The video begins with the screen flashing the message, “Dems Hyped Collusion With No Evidence.” The next shot shows the message, “Mueller Proves Them “ followed by the word “Wrong” added as a buzzer goes off.

The next shot shows a clip of Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut saying, “The evidence is pretty clear that there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians.” The screen goes to a freeze frame as the word “wrong” and the buzzer again appear.

Next on the list of Democrats, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who has been attempting for the last two years to get his face ubiquitously before the cameras by focusing on supposed Trump collusion with the Russians,. In April 2017, after CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Schiff, “Can you say definitively that there was collusion, there were people affiliated with the Trump campaign who were working with Russians to time the release of damaging information about Hillary Clinton that had been hacked – either from John Podesta or the DNC?” Schiff responded, “I don’t think we can say anything definitively at this point. We are still at the very early stage of the investigation. The only thing I can say is that it would be irresponsible for us not to get to the bottom of this.”

But by August 2018, appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation, Schiff bloviated, “I think there’s plenty of evidence of collusion or conspiracy in plain sight.” The screen shows Schiff making that statement, followed by “Wrong” and the buzzer.

Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell of California is next to be targeted, as the clip shows him saying, “We saw strong evidence of collusion.” Wrong + buzzer.

Next: Democrat Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who threatened the very night last November the Democrats won back the House of Representatives, “This election was about accountability. Donald Trump may not like hearing it but for the first time, his administration is going to be held accountable. He’s going to learn that he’s not above the law.” The video shows him snapping, “Well, we know there was collusion with people in the campaign.” Wrong + buzzer.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez: “I think a mountain of evidence of collusion between the campaign and the Russians.” Wrong + buzzer.

The screen reads, “The Collusion Hoax. Text ‘Witchhunt’ to 88022.”
