House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer rejected a fair offer from Attorney General William Barr to view a significantly less-redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

According to Politico, Pelosi and Schumer are not only rejecting to Barr’s offer, Democrats are also holding a senior level phone call on Monday to discuss what to do next and whether beginning impeachment proceedings should take place in the Democrat-controlled U.S. House of Representatives.

“Given the comprehensive factual findings presented by the special counsel’s report, some of which will only be fully understood with access to the redacted material, we cannot agree to the conditions you are placing on our access to the full report,” Pelosi, Schumer and other House and Senate Democratic committee chairs wrote in a letter to Barr.

“While the current proposal is not workable, we are open to discussing a reasonable accommodation with the Department that would protect law enforcement sensitive information while allowing Congress to fulfill its constitutional duties,” the letter added.

So, Democrats are rejecting to view a significantly less-redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report and are holding a call on Monday to discuss a “Plan B” regarding what they should do next.

During his press conference from the Department of Justice, Barr reiterated countless times that Mueller found no evidence that Trump, his campaign, or any American colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

So that is the bottom line. After nearly two years of investigation, thousands of subpoenas, and hundreds of warrants and witness interviews, the Special Counsel confirmed that the Russian government sponsored efforts to illegally interfere with the 2016 presidential election but did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded in those schemes.

Barr also stated that Mueller left it up to the Department of Justice to determine if the president obstructed justice.

Barr said he consulted with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and they both determined there was no evidence to charge Trump with obstructing justice in the Russia probe.

The attorney general also made it clear that the White House offered “unfettered access,” “no redactions,” and “didn’t exert any executive privilege, which would be within their rights.”

This means that Trump and the White House provided Mueller’s team with essentially all of the records and documents they requested.

The White House fully cooperated with the Special Counsel’s investigation, providing unfettered access to campaign and White House documents, directing senior aides to testify freely, and asserting no privilege claims.

Barr made it clear numerous times that Trump’s lawyers did not request redactions in the report.

“The President’s personal lawyers were not permitted to make, and did not request, any redactions. No one outside this group proposed any redactions, and no one outside the department has seen the un-redacted report, with the exception of certain sections that were made available to IC, the intelligence community, for their advice on protecting intelligence sources and methods.”

Mueller’s report clearly states that there is no evidence of collusion and the DOJ said they will not bring any charges of obstruction of justice against the president.

And when Barr goes out of his way to ensure Pelosi, Schumer, and others can see more of the Mueller report in a classified setting, they reject his offer so they can keep pushing partisan politics.
