A woman in Cedarburg, Wisconsin confessed to voter fraud after allegedly submitting an absentee ballot for her deceased spouse.

48-year old Christine Daikawa was charged this week, following her confession. She also reportedly told authorities she listed herself as the witness on the ballot.

Election officials came across the discrepancy while running routine procedures for every absentee ballot cast. They noticed Daikawa’s partner’s name was not showing up in the election database.

After a short investigation, officials found her spouse had died on July 9, but the ballot was signed on September 16.

“I was trying to see if she was maybe doing it for a memory type thing…try to see if she wanted to get her spouse’s last wishes or last voice heard, but she said that wasn’t the case,” said David Dudash, an investigator for the Cedarburg Police.

Daikawa’s trial is set to take place December 14. If convicted, she could serve up to four years in federal prison.

A new report shows that Americans are spending more money on taxes than food, clothing and health care combined. That’s according to a 2018 consumer expenditure survey conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That survey found the average American unit, which consists of both shared and single households, spent an average of $9,000 on federal income taxes last year. Americans also spent an average of $5,000 on social security, more than $2,000 on state and local taxes, and another $2,000 for property taxes.

When comparing the total cost of taxes with the average cost of food, clothing and health care, the survey found that taxes cost about $3,000 more.

Earlier this year, President Trump unveiled a tax plan aimed at alleviating some of these costs.

“We promised that these tax cuts would be rocket fuel for the American economy and we were absolutely right,” stated the president. “More than 6 million American jobs received pay raises, people are receiving pay raises all across the country, and, you know, that really is a great thing.”

According to the White House, the president’s tax cuts help medium to low-income families by providing pay raises to more than 6 million workers and creating an additional 3 million jobs.

Meanwhile, families can also get double the tax credit per qualified child. The law also helps low-income neighborhoods by creating something called opportunity zones, which encourages companies to offer long-term investments in an area in exchange for tax deductions from the government.

“We’re having tremendous success in the inner cities because of the opportunity zones,” said President Trump. “Criminal justice reform — I was the one that got it.”

Officials anticipate these zones will generate about $100 billion in private capital investment.

As part of a new initiative, billionaire globalist George Soros is seeking to use the COVID-19 outbreak to enforce radical left policies in the U.S. The new program, called the “People’s Bailout,” brings together 1,000 far-left groups and unions, as well as 100 members of Congress.

According to Soros, the next virus relief package must be based off of “five principles.” These include provisions of the Green New Deal, a $15 minimum wage and regular cash payments to each person.

He added government unions and far-left groups must increase control in all spheres of life as part of the so-called “new normal.”

Soros is also under fire for his latest attack on religious liberty in the U.S.

In a recent statement, the Catholic League announced Soros-backed groups are leading a coordinated attack on the State Department’s Commission on Unalienable Rights. The league has said he is working to elevate LGBTQ and abortion groups instead.

The commission was established last year by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to defend the freedom of religion in the U.S. and beyond. The Catholic League claimed Soros is attacking the church to enforce his far-left agenda of submission and control.
