A top al-Qaeda terrorist was killed on Sunday in Syria in an airstrike that reportedly used a secretive U.S. missile that does not feature an explosive warhead, but instead uses knives to shred the target.

“Khalid al-Aruri, a Jordanian also known by his nom de guerre Abu al-Qassam al-Urduni, was struck in his car, almost certainly by a new breed of lethal, highly accurate missile,” The Sunday Times reported. “The Hellfire R9X has been nicknamed the ‘flying ninja’ or ‘flying ginsu’ for its fast-swivelling, detachable blades.”

Al-Aruri reportedly led an al-Qaeda faction in Syria where he was the “personal representative” of Ayman al-Zawahiri and was tasked with planning future Islamic terrorist attacks on the West.

The Sunday Times added that al-Aruri was killed along with another top Islamic terrorist leader, Bilal al-Sanaani. The U.S. Military said that the strike was not the result of an operation by Operation Inherent Resolve.

The Wall Street Journal reported in 2019 on the Hellfire R9X missile that was developed by the U.S. military to avoid civilian casualties in populated areas.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

Both the Central Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon have used the weapon while closely guarding its existence. A modified version of the well-known Hellfire missile, the weapon carries an inert warhead. Instead of exploding, it is designed to plunge more than 100 pounds of metal through the tops of cars and buildings to kill its target without harming individuals and property close by.

To the targeted person, it is as if a speeding anvil fell from the sky, the officials said. But this variant of the Hellfire missile, designated as the R9X, also comes equipped with a different kind of payload: a halo of six long blades that are stowed inside and then deploy through the skin of the missile seconds before impact to ensure that it shreds anything in its tracks.

Numerous videos and images of the vehicle that was struck that reportedly was carrying al-Aruri surfaced online. The images show that the weapon struck the top of the vehicle, completely gutting the inside of the vehicle.

[Warning: Graphic content]

The Wall Street Journal was able to confirm that the weapon had been used at least twice before, including once by the CIA and once by the Department of Defense:

In January 2019, Jamal al-Badawi, accused of being behind the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000 in a Yemeni port, killing 17 American sailors, was killed by an R9X fired by the Pentagon. The Pentagon has acknowledged the strike, which occurred in Yemen, though not the specific munition involved.

In February 2017, Ahmad Hasan Abu Khayr al-Masri, an Egyptian national who served as al Qaeda’s No. 2, was killed in Syria’s Idlib Province by an R9X fired by a U.S. aircraft operated by the CIA. The CIA doesn’t acknowledge airstrikes it carries out.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced on Thursday that the party has moved its celebration of the re-nomination of President Donald Trump to Jacksonville, Florida, after running into problems in North Carolina.

The Charlotte Observer reported that the official business of the convention will still take place in Charlotte this August, but after the first day, the remaining three days of the event will take place in Jacksonville.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this momentous occasion in the great city of Jacksonville,” McDaniel said in a statement. “Not only does Florida hold a special place in President Trump’s heart as his home state, but it is crucial in the path to victory in 2020. We look forward to bringing this great celebration and economic boon to the Sunshine State in just a few short months.”

The RNC said in a statement that it moved the celebration portion of the convention because Democrat Governor Roy Cooper “refused to provide assurances” that the celebration could take place in Charlotte due to social distancing measures over the coronavirus pandemic, which originated in China.

The move could generate over $100 million in revenue for Jacksonville, the AP reported, adding that the city has a population of 1.5 million people and is home to a major military base.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) responded to the news in a tweet, writing: “I’m biased, but this is a great choice! The state of Florida and the city of Jacksonville are ready and excited to host President @realDonaldTrump for the fun part of the Republican Convention. It’s the first step towards a big win in November!”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to the news by saying in a statement: “Florida is honored to host this special event where we will celebrate the re-nomination of President Donald J. Trump. Jacksonville is a great city that will showcase Florida’s energy, facilities, entrepreneurship and commitment to bring together the delegates of the Republican Party at a historic time in our nation’s history.”

Fox News noted that Jacksonville was attractive to Republican officials from the start because the city has a Republican mayor, Lenny Curry, who made a strong pitch for the city to host the celebration by offering up the same venue that the city has used to host a major UFC fight—VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Curry responded to the news by saying, “Today’s announcement is a huge win for the City of Jacksonville to host the celebration of President Trump’s acceptance of the nomination. The opportunity to highlight all our city has to offer and the tremendous economic impact is one I enthusiastically welcome, and we look forward to hosting an exciting event for all delegates and guests to enjoy.”

Former national security adviser Susan Rice was allegedly instructed by the Obama White House to write her controversial memo about the Oval Office meeting that she had with numerous top Obama officials, including President Obama himself, about then-incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Rice wrote the memo on January 20, 2017, which was President Donald Trump’s first day in office, about the meeting that she had in the Oval Office two weeks prior.

Fox News correspondent Gillian Turner reported Wednesday that Rice’s team confirmed to Fox News that “she was directed by White House Counsel to write the Jan 20, 2017 memorandum documenting an Oval Office meeting in which President Obama [and] National Security officials discussed Michael Flynn.”

“The meeting took place on January 5, 2017, and involved Rice, Obama, and Vice President Biden, the administration’s top political hierarchy on national-security matters, along with Obama’s top law-enforcement and counterintelligence officials, deputy attorney general Sally Yates (soon formally to take the acting AG role she was already performing), and FBI director James Comey,” former U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy wrote Wednesday. “Prior redactions had already demonstrated that the meeting’s central purpose was to discuss the rationale for withholding intelligence about Russia from the incoming Trump national-security team.”

Rice’s declassified “TOP SECRET” memo from January 20, 2017, stated:

On January 5, following a briefing by IC leadership on Russian hacking during the 2016 Presidential election, President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Jim Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Vice President Biden and I were also present.

President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities “by the book”. The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.

From a national security perspective, however, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia.

Director Comey affirmed that he is proceeding “by the book” as it relates to law enforcement. From a national security perspective, Comey said he does have some concerns that incoming NSA Flynn is speaking frequently with Russian Ambassador Kislyak. Comey said that could be an issue as it relates to sharing sensitive information. President Obama asked if Comey was saying that the NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn. Comey replied ”potentially.” He added that he has no indication thus far that Flynn has passed classified information to Kislyak, but he noted that “the level of communication is unusual.”

The President asked Comey to inform him if anything changes in the next few weeks that should affect how we share classified information with the incoming team. Comey said he would.

Attorney General William Barr debunked the notion that there was anything wrong with the communication Flynn had with the Russian ambassador.

“That call, there was nothing wrong with it whatever,” Barr said. “In fact, it was laudable. He– and it was nothing inconsistent with the Obama administration’s policies. And it was in U.S. interests. He was saying to the Russians, you know, ‘Don’t escalate.’ And they asked him if he remembered saying that, and he said he didn’t remember that.”

McCarthy later noted how, as more and more information becomes declassified, Rice has continued to change her story, writing: “Rice has gone from claiming to have had no knowledge of Obama administration monitoring of Flynn and other Trump associates, to claiming no knowledge of any unmaskings of Trump associates, to admitting she was complicit in the unmaskings, to — now — a call for the recorded conversation between retired general Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak to be released because it would purportedly show that the Obama administration had good reason to be concerned about Flynn (y’know, the guy she said she had no idea they were investigating).”

Calls for Democrat Rep. Steven Horsford (NV) to resign from the U.S. Congress exploded over the weekend after he admitted to having an affair with an intern who worked for former Senator Harry Reid (D-NV).

Gabriela “Linder said the affair began in 2009, when she met Horsford — then the majority leader of the Nevada state Senate — during her time as an intern in former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s Nevada office,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. “They had a sexual relationship that continued intermittently until September 2019, Linder said, though the two remained in contact until April. Linder never worked for Horsford in any capacity.”

According to Las Vegas Review-Journal, Linder also indicated that Horsford filmed a video for her son’s YouTube channel using taxpayer-funded congressional resources.

“If this was a story in 2018, he wouldn’t have run,” Linder said. “He obtained this position under false pretenses that he was a family man and man of God. He should take a step back, atone, and if people are satisfied, then he can come back into politics.”

In a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Horsford admitted to the affair, saying, “It is true that I had a previous relationship outside of my marriage, over the course of several years. I’m deeply sorry to all of those who have been impacted by this very poor decision, most importantly my wife and family. Out of concern for my family during this challenging time, I ask that our privacy is respected.”

Linder made the revelations on a podcast where she also claimed that Horsford “looked out for her over the years, from anything from a job recommendation to financial support.”

The Las Vegas Review-Journal suggested that the reason Linder left Horsford was because he had talked to her about leaving his wife, but never did it.

“I decided I can’t wait, deserved more and didn’t want to be that person anymore,” Linder said. “And I realized someone who could lie that way is not someone who would be honorable to me.”

Horsford ran for Congress in 2018 after Democrat Rep. Ruben Kihuen (NV) did not run for re-election after facing sexual harassment allegations during the height of the #MeToo movement.

The House Ethics Committee later concluded that Kihuen violated the House’s code of conduct, writing in a report: “Kihuen made persistent and unwanted advances towards women who were required to interact with him as part of their professional responsibilities.”

Horsford’s sex scandal comes after Democrat Rep. Katie Hill (CA) resigned last year due to a sex scandal, and the Republican Party flipped her seat this year, the first time the party flipped a seat in California in over 20 years, when former Navy fighter pilot Mike Garcia won last week.

Several other House Democrats have faced allegations of sex scandals or investigations into possible sex scandals during the current congressional term, including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL), and Delegate Michael F. Q. San Nicolas of Guam (non-voting member).

Horsford’s sex scandal immediately led to calls for him to resign, including from Republican Congressional candidate Lisa Song Sutton, who is running to unseat Horsford.

“First, I call on Steven Horsford to resign from Congress,” Sutton said in a statement. “In addition, I call on the House Ethics Committee to begin an immediate investigation into Congressman Horsford’s actions as they relate to this longtime, extramarital affair, similar to the investigation that occurred with his immediate predecessor, disgraced former Congressman Ruben Kihuen. The people of Nevada’s 4th District deserve to know if any of our taxpayer dollars funded Steven Horsford’s nefarious activities.”

Sutton continued, “I speak to voters every single day who do not feel like they are being heard by Congressman Steven Horsford. His lack of community involvement was a key factor in my deciding to run for this position. Given this news, I am infuriated. I am infuriated for Nevadans of the 4th district. This just solidifies what we already knew: that we deserve better representation. We are in the middle of an economic and health crisis. Nevada’s economy has taken a beating and our community is on the ropes. We have nearly 500,000 Nevadans on unemployment. Our largest sources of revenue for the state: tourism, hospitality, gaming, and mining, have been severely impacted with a long road to recovery.”

“We need a strong leader who is going to be 110 percent focused on rebuilding our economy and taking swift action FOR the people,” Sutton concluded. “This seat has been plagued by distractions and scandals by men who cannot stay focused on their responsibilities because they are too busy chasing women. Horsford is not fit to lead us. His family will be in my prayers.”

The Trump administration is undertaking major moves to revamp America’s military presence in Asia to reign in communist China’s military expansion, and foreign military analysts have said that the moves taken by the United States are so aggressive that “there is a serious risk for [China] that their military developments will be obsolete.”

A new report from Reuters highlighted how the Trump administration is deploying new weapons and military strategy for how the United States will deal with the growing Chinese threat. Reuters reported:

China derived an advantage because it was not party to a Cold War-era treaty – the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) – that banned the United States and Russia from possessing ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges from 500 kilometers to 5,500 kilometers. Unrestrained by the INF pact, China has deployed about 2,000 of these weapons, according to U.S. and other Western estimates. …

This accumulated firepower has shifted the regional balance of power in China’s favor. …

But the decision by President Donald Trump last year to exit the INF treaty has given American military planners new leeway. Almost immediately after withdrawing from the pact on August 2, the administration signaled it would respond to China’s missile force.

Reuters noted that the Trump administration will be arming the Marines with a wide range of new missiles that can accomplish a variety of mission objectives; the administration is ramping up the research and development on a variety of new ballistic missiles that were previously banned under the INF treaty, and the administration will be deploying new weapons to the region that will pose a serious threat to communist China.

Ross Babbage, a former senior Australian government defense official and now a non-resident fellow at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, a security research group, told Reuters: “The Americans are coming back strongly. By 2024 or 2025 there is a serious risk for the [Chinese military] that their military developments will be obsolete.”

The biggest ringing endorsement of the Trump administration’s military moves in Asia comes directly from communist China, who said in a statement that they “firmly opposed” the moves by the U.S. military. Reuters added:

The United States has other counterweights. The firepower of long-range U.S. Air Force bombers could pose a bigger threat to Chinese forces than the Marines, the strategists said. Particularly effective, they said, could be the stealthy [new] B-21 bomber, which is due to enter service in the middle of this decade, armed with long-range missiles.

The Pentagon is already moving to boost the firepower of its existing strike aircraft in Asia. U.S. Navy Super Hornet jets and Air Force B-1 bombers are now being armed with early deliveries of Lockheed Martin’s new Long Range Anti-Ship Missile, according to the budget request documents. The new missile is being deployed in response to an “urgent operational need” for the U.S. Pacific Command, the documents explain.

China has been able to catch up to the U.S. in military prowess due to bad decisions made by the Obama administration that weakened the U.S. military and also because China is a criminal nation that steals U.S. technology.

The Department of Defense reported: “China uses a variety of methods to acquire foreign military and dual-use technologies, including targeted foreign direct investment, cyber theft, and exploitation of private Chinese nationals’ access to these technologies, as well as harnessing its intelligence services, computer intrusions, and other illicit approaches.”

Newly released transcripts from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) closed door Russia investigation hearings show that former Obama officials and Schiff appeared to know that there was little to no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials during the 2016 election.

Here is what former Obama officials testified to when asked during Schiff’s hearings if they had or had seen evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia:

  • Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper: “I never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting/conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election.”
  • Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power: “I am not in possession of anything – I am not in possession and didn’t read or absorb information that came from out of the intelligence community.”
  • Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice: “I don’t recall any intelligence or evidence to that effect.”
  • Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch: “I can’t say that it existed or not.”
  • Former Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes: “I saw indications of potential coordination, but I did not see, you know, the specific evidence of the actions of the Trump campaign.”

Despite the testimonies contained in the 53 transcripts, Schiff repeatedly promoted the now-debunked claim that the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia during the 2016 election and went as far as to say that he had “direct evidence” that it happened.

Donald Trump Jr. told The Daily Wire, “Sounds like it was 53 up, 53 down. None of the former Obama admin people were able to testify that they had seen evidence of collusion. These are probably the same people that the New York Times, CNN and WaPo quote as ‘former US officials’ saying that there totally was clear evidence of collusion.”

Clapper, who had testified that he had no evidence of collusion, said two years later when he was a paid CNN contributor, “What was the Trump campaign doing the same time was essentially aiding and abetting the Russians.”

Clapper made those remarks to the House Intel Committee on July 17, 2017

Here is Clapper in May 2019, while being paid by CNN: “What was the Trump campaign doing the same time was essentially aiding and abetting the Russians”

— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) May 7, 2020

The transcripts were released after Republicans pressured Schiff to release them and Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell informed Schiff that the transcripts were cleared to be released after redactions had been made.

Schiff reportedly panicked over releasing the transcripts because he knew what is is now public: that the things that he was claiming in public did not match what officials were testifying to behind closed doors.

A source close to the White House told The Daily Wire yesterday, “Schiff really is panicking In a state of panic, Schiff has been making sloppy mistakes. It was a colossally stupid mistake on his part to send his staff out to find out what role Grenell had in the process, it gave Grenell’s allies in the Intelligence Community the perfect opportunity to disclose that the redactions took place before Grenell got there. Some of Schiff’s other mistakes will play out over the next couple of days.”

President Donald Trump told reporters late on Thursday afternoon that he will “certainly consider” bringing back former national security adviser Michael Flynn into his administration after bombshell FBI documents were unsealed this week that showed that the FBI discussed whether to use its interview with Flynn to “get him fired” and to “get him to lie.”

“General Flynn was under an enormous pressure and it was an artificial pressure because what they did to Genera Flynn was a disgrace, it was a total disgrace, it’s shocking,” Trump said. “What they tried to do to destroy him and to hurt this presidency was — there has never been anything like it. An absolute disgrace.”

A reporter then asked Trump, “are you going to pardon him and if so are you considering bringing him back into your administration?”

“Well, it looks like Michael Flynn would be exonerated based on everything I see,” Trump responded. “I’m not the judge, but I have a different type of power but I don’t know that anybody would have to use that power I think he’s exonerated. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“I think he’s a fine man, I think it’s terrible what they did to him,” Trump continued. “I would certainly consider it, yeah, I would. I think he is a fine man. I think he has got a great family.”

Trump’s remarks come after FBI documents were unsealed on Wednesday that showed that agents discussed using their interview with Flynn to “get him to lie” and to “get him fired.”

Fox News reported:

The handwritten notes — written by the FBI’s former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after a meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Fox News is told — further suggested that agents planned in the alternative to get Flynn “to admit to breaking the Logan Act” when he spoke to then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition period.

The Logan Act is an obscure statute that has never been used in a criminal prosecution; enacted in 1799 in an era before telephones, it was intended to prevent individuals from falsely claiming to represent the United States government abroad.

On Thursday, additional documents were unsealed that showed that the FBI was going to close its investigation into Flynn in early January because they did not find any “derogatory” information on Flynn.

“Following the compilation of the above information, the CH team determined that CROSSFIRE RAZOR was no longer a viable candidate as part of the larger CROSSFIRE HURRICANE umbrella case,” the FBI’s memo stated. “The FBI is closing this investigation. If new information is identified or reported to the FBI regarding the activities of CROSSFIRE RAZOR, the FBI will consider reopening the investigation if warranted.”

On the same day that the FBI wrote in an internal memo that they were closing the investigation into Flynn, disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok intervened to keep the investigation open.

Fox News reported:

Yet, on that same day — Jan. 4, 2017 — Strzok instructed the FBI case manager handling CROSSFIRE RAZOR to keep the investigation open. “Hey don’t close RAZOR,” Strzok texted an unidentified individual.

Strzok informed the FBI case manager that the FBI’s 7th floor was involved, referring to FBI leadership — and that they still “need to decide what to do with him [with respect to] the [REDACTED].”

Far-left Democrat Stacey Abrams echoed talking points from the Biden campaign during a CNN interview on Tuesday night to assert that the woman who is accusing Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden of rape is not telling the truth.

Abrams, who is reportedly pushing Democrats behind the scenes to tell Biden that he should select her to be his pick for vice president, told CNN host Don Lemon, who himself has been accused of a sexually charged assault, that she believes that women should be heard and listened to but “those allegations have to be investigated by credible sources.”

“The New York Times did a deep investigation and they found that the accusation was not credible,” Abrams falsely claimed. “I believe Joe Biden. … I know Joe Biden and I think he’s telling the truth and this did not happen.”

The New York Times’ report did not find that “the accusation was not credible.”

Furthermore, Abrams’ remark that the allegation “did not happen” is a verbatim talking point that was reportedly pushed out by the Biden campaign to Democrats who are allies of Biden. BuzzFeed News reported:

Biden’s campaign’s talking points say the Times story served as proof that Reade’s allegation “did not happen” — but the story did not conclude this, nor did it conclude that an assault definitively did happen.

As BuzzFeed notes, one of the talking points that came from the Biden campaign stated:

Biden believes that all women have the right to be heard and to have their claims thoroughly reviewed. In this case, a thorough review by the New York Times has led to the truth: this incident did not happen.

The credibility of The New York Times’ report was significantly damaged when the leftist newspaper appeared to admit that it allowed the Biden campaign to influence its reporting.

Since The New York Times report came out, a 1993 video clip from CNN’s “Larry King Live” and additional reporting from Business Insider has bolstered Reade’s claims against Biden.

Later in the CNN interview on Tuesday night, Lemon asked Abrams, “In 2018, you tweeted it was shameful that Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination was being rushed forward and survivors of violence like Christine Blasey Ford deserve to have their voices heard. Are you applying a different standard now?”

Abrams tweeted: “A Supreme Court hearing is a job interview for one of the most critical roles in our democracy; if there is even a hint of impropriety—let alone the credible allegations bravely brought forward by Dr. Ford—we should pause and thoroughly investigate them, rather than rush forward.”

“Not at all,” Abrams claimed. “I believe then and I believe now that women deserve to be heard because too often they are not.”

“And Tara Reade deserved to have her story listened to and investigated. What was happening to Christine Blasey Ford was that there was no investigation,” Abrams falsely claimed. “There was a rush to move the conversation forward so that no investigation was conducted and, as I said, I believe that there was, those allegations needed to be investigated and I believe that The New York Times and subsequent reports support what the Biden campaign has said and I believe Joe Biden.”

Abram’s claim that there was an investigation into Reade but that there was not investigation into Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford is false on both counts.

The FBI investigated the sexual assault allegations made against Kavanaugh. There has not been any investigation into Biden that has been reported on. Reade was investigated by a partisan newspaper that has not endorsed a Republican for president since Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 — 64 years ago.

President Donald Trump stated during the White House Coronavirus Task Force press briefing on Monday that he knows the health status of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

“I can’t tell you, exactly,” Trump told reporters when asked. “Yes, I do have a very good idea, but I can’t talk about it now. I just wish him well.”

“I hope he’s fine, I do know how he’s doing relatively speaking,” Trump continued. “You will probably be hearing in the not too distant future.”

Later, when asked about a statement that Kim reportedly made over the weekend, Trump responded, “Kim Jong Un made a statement on Saturday? I don’t think so.”

The news comes as the administration has been silent on the rumors that Kim is dealing with a serious health situation.

CNN reported last week:

The US is monitoring intelligence that suggests North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un, is in grave danger after undergoing a previous surgery, according to a US official with direct knowledge.

A second source familiar with the intelligence told CNN that the US has been closely monitoring reports on Kim’s health.

Kim recently missed the celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15, which raised speculation about his well-being. He had been seen four days before that at a government meeting.

Since CNN’s report was published, a variety of rumors and claims have circulated online ranging from theories that is he is fine and is isolating himself due to a coronavirus outbreak in North Korea to theories that he is in a vegetative state.

On Saturday night, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Fox News’ host Jeanine Pirro that he thinks Kim is either incapacitated or dead.

“Well, it’s a closed society, I don’t know anything directly,” Graham said. “But I’d be shocked if he’s not dead or in some incapacitated state because you don’t let rumors like this go forever or go unanswered in a closed society, which is really a cult, not a country, called North Korea.”

“So I pretty well believe he is dead or incapacitated,” Graham continued. “And I hope the long-suffering North Korean people will get some relief if he is dead, and President Trump’s willing to do business with North Korea in a win-win fashion. So, if this guy is dead, I hope the next person who takes over will work with President Trump to make North Korea a better place for everybody.”

Foreign affairs expert and Asia analyst Gordon Chang told Fox News on Monday: “I don’t think the South Korean government is right when they say he is alive and well. He very well may be alive, but the ‘well’ part of it is, I think, subject to question largely because this regime acts in patterns and when these patterns are broken, we know that something has occurred.”

The Chinese communist government admitted early on Friday that the coronavirus numbers that it had reported in Wuhan, where the outbreak originated, were not accurate.

“China has revised its official count of deaths from the coronavirus, adding some 1,290 deaths in Wuhan, the city where the virus first emerged last December,” Bloomberg News reported. “The addition, reported by state media on Friday, brings the nationwide death toll to 4,636, the majority coming from Hubei province, where Wuhan is located.”

“The additional deaths were all counted in Wuhan and the late reporting of deaths are due to several reasons, said the report,” the report added. “The first is that some patients died at home without seeing a doctor or being tested for the virus as hospitals were overwhelmed during the epidemic’s peak.”

The new numbers being reported by China are still likely to fall well short of the real numbers as The Washington Post estimated during the first week in April that the real number of deaths in Wuhan were 16 times higher than what China reported:

The coronavirus pandemic ravaging the globe officially claimed 2,563 lives in Wuhan, where it began in a market that sold exotic animals for consumption. But evidence emerging from the city as it stirs from its two-month hibernation suggests the real death toll is exponentially higher. …

Using photos posted online, social media sleuths have estimated that Wuhan funeral homes had returned 3,500 urns a day since March 23. That would imply a death toll in Wuhan of about 42,000 — or 16 times the official number. Another widely shared calculation, based on Wuhan’s 84 furnaces running nonstop and each cremation taking an hour, put the death toll at 46,800.

U.S. intelligence officials told Bloomberg News at the start of the month that China intentionally did not report the true numbers of their coronavirus outbreak.

Last month, The Daily Mail reported that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had been briefed that China had significantly under-reported the real numbers of both cases and deaths.

The Daily Mail reported:

Mr Johnson has been warned by scientific advisers that China’s officially declared statistics on the number of cases of coronavirus could be ‘downplayed by a factor of 15 to 40 times’. And No 10 believes China is seeking to build its economic power during the pandemic with ‘predatory offers of help’ countries around the world.

A major review of British foreign policy has been shelved due to the Covid-19 outbreak and will not report until the impact of the virus can be assessed. A Government source close to the review said: ‘It is going to be back to the diplomatic drawing board after this. Rethink is an understatement.’

A “conservative estimation” this week from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) estimated that even when given every benefit of the doubt possible, China significantly under-reported the number of cases that it had.

“The estimate from AEI resident scholar Derek Scissors, PhD, was included in an article published Monday night in The Wall Street Journal,” The Daily Wire reported. “The estimate found that China had at a minimum 2.9 million coronavirus cases ‘outside Hubei,’ which is the province that Wuhan is located in. Scissors used travel data that was published with the approval of the Chinese Communist Party and then lowered those numbers even further just to give China the benefit of the doubt.”

Scissors wrote:

A natural reaction to figures in the low millions: China is plainly lying but not by nearly that much, because the Communist Party cannot hide 2-3 million cases. Yes, it can. Flu illnesses in the US neared 20 million before the end of January—before COVID-19 was widespread here, with two months left of flu season, and at less than one-fourth China’s population. Chinese respiratory illnesses of all kinds could easily exceed 100 million, hiding 2.9 million COVID-19 cases. …

Mortality remains sadly unsettled, but China’s size would obscure even a high rate. Hubei’s COVID-19 mortality should be quite high, due to the obvious inability to prepare and being initially overwhelmed. It is 4.7 percent. If extended over the rest of China—which is thankfully an exaggeration—that would produce 136,000 deaths over what is now more than three months. In a typical three-month period in ex-Hubei China before COVID-19, nearly 2.5 million people died. Even that many deaths would be easily obscured.

In his concluding remarks, Scissors wrote: “It is the party’s intent that no estimate of Chinese COVID-19 cases can be entirely convincing. Getting to 2.9 million cases starts with information offered by state media, uses the lowest available infection rate, applies days in circulation with a deliberately reduced figure to reflect a superior Chinese virus response, then stirs in the 1.39 billion people. Or you can believe that 1.2 million travelers from ground zero of a pandemic, some freely circulating for weeks, resulted in national contagion of a little over 15,000 cases.”
