Britt Farmer, Senior Minister of West Freeway Church of Christ in Texas, praised the Texas government on Sunday for allowing lawful gun owners in the state to protect themselves at places of worship after a good guy with a gun stopped an attack at the church.

Farmer’s remarks are a strong rebuke of remarks made by Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden earlier this year when Biden attacked Texas Governor Greg Abbott for signing a bill into law that allowed lawful gun owners to carry firearms in places of worship.

“First off, I want to say that I am extremely thankful to lieutenant governor and the governor — Governor Patrick and Governor Abbott — and their rapid response to this,” Farmer said. “To the law enforcement agencies that have been here, we couldn’t have asked for more professional, seamless interviews, and work with our congregation and our people and the kindness that was shown to them by law enforcement.”

“We lost two great men today, but it could have been a lot worse, and I’m thankful that our government has allowed us the opportunity to protect ourselves,” Farmer continued. “We have a congregation here of open-hearted people, we help people, we’re here to help people and to have something like this happen destroys my heart and when I say destroys it, destroys it because there is evil in this world.”

“Today is one sermon I’ll never preach, it’ll go away, it was called leaving a legacy, and two men today left legacy, but the congregation is going to build on that legacy,” Farmer added. “Right now I’d like to say to all those that are watching: thank you for your prayers, please continue to pray for the West Freeway Church family.”

“We’d like to say we’re a place you and your family can call home, today our home was invaded by evil,” Farmer concluded. “The sad thing is it happens all the time as far as evil’s concerned, but I know two men right now that are better off than any of us are, and I hope and I pray that not only will we survive this, I know we will, but that in some way we might be a beacon to those who don’t know what to do because today we proved that not only can we be God loving, God-fearing people, but we can protect each other as well.”

Farmer’s remarks cut against what Biden, who is ardently anti-Second Amendment, said in September.

“Dealing with firearms, it is irrational, with all due respect to the governor of Texas, irrational what they are doing,” Biden told reporters on September 2. “On the very day you see a mass shooting … and we’re talking about loosening access to have guns, to be able to take them into places of worship, it’s just absolutely irrational. It’s totally irrational.”

Jeff Williams, Regional Director for the Texas Department of Public Safety, praised the hero who immediately engaged and killed the attacker.

“It cannot be overstated how important it is that everyone recognize what took place here today,” Williams said. “The citizens who were inside that church undoubtedly saved 242 other parishioners, and that might get swept aside in this whole conversation about active shooter response, and God knows law enforcement has done a whole bunch of work to make our response better, we needed to do that.”

“But we’re starting to find out that, as the Lt. Governor mentioned, over half of these are over before we get there, and I want to commend the chief and his department, their response, it is never going to get faster than that, it was miraculous,” Williams continued. “And so the true heroes in this are the people who were sitting in those pews today and responded, the immediate responders that saved their fellow citizens. I just can’t overstate how critical that is, I just want to recognize it, it’s truly heroic and this citizens of this community have a lot to be proud of for their response.”

President Donald Trump got one of the biggest political wins of his presidency on Thursday, which comes just hours after Democrats’ partisan impeachment, as the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) has officially been passed in both chambers of Congress and now heads to Trump’s desk to sign.

Pelosi, who stalled passing the deal for over a year, held a vote on it just hours after Democrats pushed through partisan articles of impeachment against Trump.

USMCA passed in the House in an overwhelming 385-41 vote with 38 Democrats opposing it. Far-left Democrat Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) all voted against the trade agreement, which experts have said will create tens of thousands of new jobs for American workers.

In a statement, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said, “House passage of the USMCA with such huge bipartisan support is a major milestone and shows just how much President Trump is successfully changing U.S. trade policy so it works for the benefit of American workers, farmers, ranchers and businesses. The USMCA is expected to create between 176,000 and 589,000 new American jobs and substantially increase economic growth. The International Trade Commission’s analysis shows that USMCA will have a more positive impact on our economy, jobs and wages than any other U.S. trade agreement ever negotiated.”

The New York Times noted that among those who voted to pass USMCA in the House included “opponents of the original NAFTA deal and others known for a fierce aversion to trade pacts — joined the majority of the caucus in giving their approval to their agreement.”

Lighthizer said that the USMCA represented the new “gold standard” in U.S. trade policy and was a massive win for the Trump administration that will be the template of future trade agreements in the future as it prioritizes the American worker.

“It will create tens of thousands of new jobs—many importantly in manufacturing—and increase export opportunities for our farmers, ranchers and businesses. President Trump is keeping his promise to replace the failed NAFTA with a far better trade agreement,” Lighthizer concluded. “This is the first-ever trade coalition of workers, farmers, Republicans, Democrats, business and agriculture groups, organized labor and much more. I would like to thank the many members of the House and Senate for getting us to this point. I would also like to acknowledge the leadership of the business community, agriculture groups, and organized labor who have supported the agreement.”

The new trade agreement includes provisions that discourage the outsourcing of American jobs and raises the requirements for how much of a car must be manufactured in North America to avoid being hit with tariffs.

“The USMCA is the first multi-country trade deal to be considered by Congress since the U.S. negotiated a free trade agreement with a group of Central American nations in 2005,” The Washington Post reported. “Since then, trade has turned into a torturous issue for the Democratic Party. In the 2016 campaign, Hillary Clinton was forced to renounce her support for a major Pacific Rim trade deal that President Obama had hoped to get through Congress. Obama and Pelosi also battled dramatically over trade when he was president and she was minority leader, making her alliance with Trump on a new version of NAFTA all the more striking.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, a New York Democrat, announced an apparent change in scheduling on voting to move forward with articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump late on Thursday night and was subsequently blasted by the Republicans for not even bringing them in to discuss their schedules.

“It has been a long two days of consideration of these articles [of impeachment] and it is now very late at night,” Nadler said. “I want the members on both sides of the aisle to think about what has happened over these last two days and to search their consciousnesses before we cast our final votes.

“Therefore the committee will now stand in recess until tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at which point I will move to divide the question so that each of us may have the opportunity to cast up or down votes on each of the articles of impeachment and tell history to be our judge,” Nadler continued. The Committee is in recess.”

Ranking Member Doug Collins slammed Nadler, “Mr. Chairman, there is no consulting from the Ranking Member on your schedule for tomorrow in which you just blown up schedules for everyone? You chose not to consult the Ranking Member on a schedule issue of this magnitude? This is kangaroo court that we’re talking about.”

“It’s Stalinesque,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) shouted. “Let’s have a dictator, it was good to hear about that.”

Another person can be heard saying loudly, “unbelievable.”

“I’m not sure what to say at this second, I’ve been in public life now since 2006 and I have just witnessed the most bush league stunt I have ever witnessed in my professional life,” Collins said at a press conference immediately following the hearing. “In the midst of impeachment, the Chairman just ambushed the entire Committee, did not have any consultation with the Ranking Member … we’re going to have votes at 10 a.m. in the morning.”

“So tonight, without consulting the Ranking Member, without consulting anyone, schedules of anybody — we’re scheduling this at 10 a.m.,” Collins continued. “The integrity level of this Committee, the Chairman’s integrity is gone, his staff is gone, this was the most bush league I have seen forever.”

“And if the American people wondered about this impeachment anyone, they don’t have to wonder anymore, they saw what happened right here tonight,” Collins continued. “Because this committee is more concerned about getting on TV in the morning than it was finishing its job tonight and letting the members go home.”

“Words cannot describe how inappropriate this was. I have been saying for the whole year how this committee is just simply rimshotting the rules of this House and this proves it tonight. They do not care about rules. They have one thing: their hatred of Donald Trump and this showed it tonight because they want to shine in these cameras, get prettied up, and then vote. I am just beyond words. It shows their lack of integrity in this process and the lack of case that they have.”

A reporter asked Collins why did it matter whether the vote happened tonight or tomorrow, to which Collins responded, “The reason we had this tonight is we had worked this out tonight to finish up tonight [because] we have members who have flights, we have members who are getting on trains, we have members who are going home because this was going to finish up tonight. But to not even consult the Ranking Member, to not even give us a heads up, this is all we heard, and we had been consulting back and forth in the last few minutes and how we were going to end the speaking tonight … that was the most lack of integrity thing I have ever seen by a member of Congress, especially a Chairman.”

“This is why people don’t like [Congress],” Collins exclaimed. “This crap like this is why people are having such a terrible opinion of Congress … because they know it’s all about games, they know it’s all about these tv screens because they want the prime time hit.”

This report has been updated to include additional remarks from Collins.

Newly released poll results show that Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is wildly popular in the state as the majority of voters in all age, gender, race, and political demographics strongly approve him.

Reporter Ryan James Girdusky highlighted new poll results from New Saint Leo University, which found that DeSantis had a 68% approval rating compared to only a 20% disapproval rating.

Here is the breakdown of DeSantis’ approval rating:

  • Republican: 87%
  • Democrat: 57%
  • Independent: 65%
  • Hispanics: 67%
  • White: 71%
  • Black: 63%
  • Male: 71%
  • Female: 66%
  • Age 18-35: 66%
  • Age 36-55: 65%
  • Age 56+: 83%

National Review Senior Writer David Harsanyi noted this week that DeSantis is far from the outlier in terms of a Republican being wildly popular as a governor; in fact, DeSantis is not even ranked among the top-10 most popular governors in the United States — all of whom are Republicans.

“When it comes to governorships, Florida isn’t an outlier. The last time the Morning Consult poll tabulated a list of the most popular governors, the top 14 — and 18 of the top 20 — were Republicans. These Republicans govern in states that have highly diverse electorates, from Alabama to Vermont,” Harsanyi wrote. “Which is weird, because this very week, progressives at the New York Times and the Atlantic were assuring us that the GOP was so reviled nationally — and its agenda so toxic to the average American — that the party has been compelled to hide from ‘democratic accountability.’”

DeSantis beat far-left Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, who was tangled up in an FBI corruption investigation, in November 2018 by approximately 33,000 votes.

Last week, President Donald Trump campaigned in Florida, which is his new home state, where he was greeted by DeSantis, who also briefly spoke at the rally.

“Let me just say, Mr. President, given your change of registration, welcome home to Florida,” DeSantis said. “And why not come to Florida, we have one of the lowest tax burdens of any state in the country. You see some of these states that are going bankrupt. We have over a $5 billion in reserves with our budget, and I see some of these cities and states with lawlessness.”

“When I came into office, I was proud to sign a bill banning sanctuary cities in the state of Florida,” DeSantis continued. “With your support, we are in the process of eliminating Common Core, and as soon as I came into office, I was able to replace on our state supreme court three Liberal justices with three conservative constitutional, and I’ve got to thank the President for his support of Florida.”

DeSantis then transitioned into highlighting to Florida residents the different things that the president has done for the sunshine state.

“So, we’re really lucky in that regard in Florida, but let me tell you about the President,” DeSantis said. “When we had a hurricane hit in Northwest Florida, a lot of people had forgotten about that. Those folks were really, really in dire straits. I went up to the Oval Office and even though a lot of people told them don’t do anything, just let it go. He was right there standing behind the people of Northwest Florida.”

“He has helped rejuvenate that area. He saved Tyndall Air Force base,” DeSantis continued. “It’s going to come back bigger than ever, very important for our military. When we were trying to get Floridians access to cheaper prescription drugs, we had an avenue to let people buy them in Canada because it’s about a third of the price a lot of times, and everyone said, no, you can’t do it. You can’t do it. I went out and met with the President. He said no, no, no, we’re doing it, and so, they’re in the process of putting that through right now.”

“President Trump has stood with our communities in South Florida, Cuban-Americans, Venezuelan-Americans, stand for freedom in this hemisphere and stand against a dictatorship in places like Caracas and Havana, and the President has stood, where one of the most military and veteran-friendly states in the country,” DeSantis concluded. “He has stood by our veterans and he has stood by our military. And so, our success in Florida, obviously, we’ve got a lot of great people in this state, but we have a President who not only understands Florida, he supports what we’re doing here. I got him, bug him now about maybe locating the Space Command in Florida, at some point, I know the Air Force doesn’t want it. But you know, he makes his own decisions, as we’ve seen so. So, Thank you, Mr. President, for being a good friend to Florida, and God bless you.”

After taking complete control of the state, Virginia Democrats are beginning to enact their left-wing agenda to undermine Americans’ constitutionally protected Second Amendment rights.

The legislative action comes after leftist Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam announced at the beginning of last month that Democrats “will at least start” their attempts to restrict Virginian’s constitutional rights by “banning the sale of [semi-automatic firearms] and high-capacity magazines, restoring the law that limits purchases to one gun a month, and a red flag law that would empower a court to temporarily remove a gun from a person deemed to be a risk to himself or others,” The Washington Post reported.

When Northam was asked about confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens, the governor responded, “that’s something I’m working [on] with our secretary of public safety.”

Free Beacon Second Amendment reporter Stephen Gutowski noted the proposed legislation on Monday, tweeting: “Meanwhile Virginia Democrats are filing bills to make the possession of millions of currently-owned firearms illegal. SB16 bans possession of many rifles without any grandfathering provision which means it’s confiscation.”

The legislation that Gutowski linked to included § 18.2-308.8, which proposes banning the “importation, sale, possession, etc., of assault firearms.”

The way that the legislation defines “assault firearms” would effectively ban nearly all semi-automatic rifles and shotguns, which are owned by tens of millions of Americans.

As Gutowski noted, there is no “grandfathering provision” included in the bill which essentially means that “it’s confiscation.”

The bill states (strike-through portions removed): “It is unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, purchase, possess, or transport an assault firearm. A violation of this section is punishable as a Class 6 felony.”

In a separate article last month, The Free Beacon reported:

Gun confiscation and other gun control measures have been part of Northam’s agenda, but took on increased importance after a picture of two men, one in blackface and the other in KKK robes, was uncovered on Northam’s page in a medical school yearbook. In his first major public appearance after the scandal broke, Northam called for a special session of the legislature in order to reconsider his gun control package, following the recent strategy used by prominent liberals of pivoting to gun control after brushes with controversy.

Democrats have a strong incentive, in the form of millions in dark money, to implement new gun control laws. In each of the last three election cycles, Everytown for Gun Safety—backed by billionaire Michael Bloomberg—and other gun control groups have spent large sums of money backing Democrats. Everytown spent $2.5 million to help push Democrats into the majority in Virginia, while the National Rifle Association spent just $300,000 supporting Republicans, according to CNBC.

Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) president Philip Van Cleave told The Free Beacon last week that support is rapidly growing at the county-level across the state to push back on Democrats’ attempts to restrict people’s constitutional freedoms.

“I’ve never seen anything like this, and I’ve been doing this for over 20 years,” Cleave said. “It’s a sleeping giant that had been pretty much not paying attention to politics, and now they’re awake, and now they’re flooding these sanctuary county hearings. Flooding them.”

The Trump administration announced on Monday that it was officially withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, with the withdrawal officially set to be completed one year from now.

“President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made under the Agreement,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote in a statement. “The United States has reduced all types of emissions, even as we grow our economy and ensure our citizens’ access to affordable energy.”

“Our results speak for themselves: U.S. emissions of criteria air pollutants that impact human health and the environment declined by 74% between 1970 and 2018,” Pompeo added. “U.S. net greenhouse gas emissions dropped 13% from 2005-2017, even as our economy grew over 19 percent.”

Several months after the Trump administration took power in Washington, D.C., the United States was rated as the top nation in the world for reducing CO2 emissions. Forbes reports:

According to the 2017 BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2005 annual U.S. carbon dioxide emissions have declined by 758 million metric tons. That is by far the largest decline of any country in the world over that timespan and is nearly as large as the 770 million metric ton decline for the entire European Union.

By comparison, the second largest decline during that period was registered by the United Kingdom, which reported a 170 million metric ton decline. At the same time, China’s carbon dioxide emissions grew by 3 billion metric tons, and India’s grew by 1 billion metric tons.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly hammered the Paris Accord and the media’s spin on the subject of climate change.

During a recent climate hysteria town hall event on CNN, Trump tweeted out a thread of facts that CNN ignored during its event.

“1. Which country has the largest carbon emission reduction? AMERICA!” Trump tweeted. “2. Who has dumped the most carbon into the air? CHINA! 3. 91% of the world’s population are exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level. NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!”

“4. The U.S. now leads the world in energy production… BUT… 5. Who’s got the world’s cleanest and safest air and water? AMERICA!” Trump added.

“6. The Democrats’ destructive ‘environmental’ proposals will raise your energy bill and prices at the pump. Don’t the Democrats care about fighting American poverty?,” Trump continued. “7. The badly flawed Paris Climate Agreement protects the polluters, hurts Americans, and cost a fortune. NOT ON MY WATCH! 8. I want crystal clean water and the cleanest and the purest air on the planet – we’ve now got that!”

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s full statement on the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement:

Today the United States began the process to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. Per the terms of the Agreement, the United States submitted formal notification of its withdrawal to the United Nations. The withdrawal will take effect one year from delivery of the notification.

As noted in his June 1, 2017 remarks, President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made under the Agreement. The United States has reduced all types of emissions, even as we grow our economy and ensure our citizens’ access to affordable energy. Our results speak for themselves: U.S. emissions of criteria air pollutants that impact human health and the environment declined by 74% between 1970 and 2018. U.S. net greenhouse gas emissions dropped 13% from 2005-2017, even as our economy grew over 19 percent.

The U.S. approach incorporates the reality of the global energy mix and uses all energy sources and technologies cleanly and efficiently, including fossils fuels, nuclear energy, and renewable energy. In international climate discussions, we will continue to offer a realistic and pragmatic model – backed by a record of real world results – showing innovation and open markets lead to greater prosperity, fewer emissions, and more secure sources of energy. We will continue to work with our global partners to enhance resilience to the impacts of climate change and prepare for and respond to natural disasters. Just as we have in the past, the United States will continue to research, innovate, and grow our economy while reducing emissions and extending a helping hand to our friends and partners around the globe.

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the administration was restricting the intake of refugees into the United States to the lowest-level on record under the current refugee system.

In a memo to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Trump announced that he was setting the refugee cap at 18,000 refugees for Fiscal Year 2020 — 12,000 lower than Trump’s cap for Fiscal Year 2019, and “the lowest number since the modern refugee system was created nearly 40 years ago,” The Washington Times reported.

The Trump administration reportedly considered going even lower when they first entertained the idea over the summer, cutting the number all the way down to nearly zero.

“During a key meeting of security officials on refugee admissions last week, a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services representative who is closely aligned with White House immigration adviser Stephen Miller suggested setting a cap at zero,” Politico reported. “Homeland Security Department officials at the meeting later floated making the level anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000, according to one of the people.”

The officials who were in favor of accepting zero refugees reportedly “argued in the meeting that the refugee cap should be low because of ongoing security concerns and the ability of the U.S. to offer humanitarian protections through the asylum process.”

Trump’s memo to Pompeo on Friday reflected that thinking stating, “The admission of up to 18,000 refugees to the United States during Fiscal Year 2020 is justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”

Those who will be allowed to be under consideration for entering the United States as a refugee in 2020 under the 18,000 cap are limited to:

1. Refugees who:

• have been persecuted or have a well-founded fear of persecution on account of religion;
• who are within a category of aliens established under subsections (b) and (c) of section 599D of Title V, Public Law 101-167, as amended (the Lautenberg and Specter Amendments) 5,000

2. Refugees who are within a category of aliens listed in section 1243(a) of the Refugee Crisis in Iraq Act of 2007, Title XII, Div. A, Public Law 110 181, as amended 4,000

3. Refugees who are nationals or habitual residents of El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras 1,500

4. Other refugees, including, in particular:

• those referred to the United States Refugee Admissions Program by a United States Embassy in any location;

• those who gain access to the United States Refugee Admissions Program for family reunification through the “Priority 3” process or through a Form I-730 following to join petition;

• those currently located in Australia, Nauru, or Papua New Guinea who gain access to the United States Refugee Admissions Program pursuant to an arrangement between the United States and Australia; and

• those in the United States Refugee Admissions Program who were in “Ready for Departure” status as of September 30, 2019. 7,500

The Washington Times noted that the 18,000 cap is significantly lower than the “110,000 refugee target the Obama administration tried to set for 2017.”

The crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border quieted down somewhat over the summer thanks to a mix of extreme heat that discouraged would be migrants from trying to make the trek through Central America and Mexican officials guarding the U.S. southern border thus further discouraging migrants from trying to enter the U.S.

“Even though crossings have been down over the past few months and news of custody deaths and teeming facilities full of children and families has faded from front pages and talking points of politicians, the number of migrants coming over border is still high,” the Associated Press reported late last week. “And resources are still stretched.”

“It is kind of a new norm. We’re at risk at any time,” Brian Hastings, chief of law enforcement operations at Border Patrol told the AP in respect to conditions caused by left-wing judicial activists who remove deterrent efforts that help U.S. officials gain control of the border. “We will go back, mark the words, we will go back to the crisis level that we had before.”

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other Democrats on the House Financial Services Committee were slammed online on Wednesday over their “arrogant,” “inaccurate,” and “embarrassing” attacks on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg appeared before the committee for over six hours to answer questions about Facebook’s proposed cryptocurrency, Libra.

“Anybody who believes the Democrats are angry at Facebook because they want more free speech should take a look at this,” Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro commented on the hearing. “Democrats are angry at Facebook because they want less free speech. They simply want more Democratic control of the means of informational distribution.”

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) pressed Zuckerberg about the representation that certain intersectional groups have within the company’s Libra project.

After asking how many women and how many minorities worked on the project, Green asked Zuckerberg: “Are there any members of the LGBTQ+ community associated with this association, Mr. Zuckerberg?”

Senior RealClearInvestigations writer Mark Hemingway commented on Greens’ remarks, tweeting: “Gotta love it when bosses make a habit of brushing up on their employees’ sex lives. Really shows you care.”

“Is it legal to collect this information?” Reason staff editor Liz Wolf tweeted. “Is it in any way relevant to the employee’s ability to do their job well? JFC, people.”

During another portion of questioning, Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) suggested, without evidence, that Zuckerberg had “ruined the lives of many [African-Americans].”

“Do you know what percentage of African Americans are on Facebook, in comparison to majority folks?” Beatty pressed. “Do you know what the percentages are?”

Zuckerberg responded: “I don’t because we don’t collect the races of people.”

“Holy, this lady almost makes AOC look competent,” Dave Rubin commented. “I actually feel bad for Zuckerberg. That’s how totally ridiculous these congresspeople are.”

During another embarrassing portion of the hearing, far-left Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) attacked Zuckerberg over the fact that some people in the world do not have a lot of money.

Pressley, like many of her Democrat cohorts, repeatedly pressed Zuckerberg on questions that he was unlikely to know the answers to and then cut him off before he could offer any real response to their questions.

The most cringeworthy portion of the hearing belonged to Ocasio-Cortez, whose arrogance and desire for censoring her opponents was on full display.

Ocasio-Cortez suggested that she wanted to take advantage of the fact that Facebook tries to not censor political speech from politicians by intentionally lying in her campaign ads, specifically wanting to falsely claim that Republicans supported her $93 trillion Green New Deal.

Ocasio-Cortez then leveled bogus attacks against The Daily Caller, a conservative publication that has been critical of Ocasio-Cortez’s often flawed ideas and has often called out her false statements and highlighted corruption that involves her.

Ocasio-Cortez claimed that The Daily Caller “has ties to white supremacists,” a claim that drew quick response from the leadership at The Daily Caller.

“Those accusations are rich coming from the leader of the most openly anti-Semitic freshman Congress in modern American history,” Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Ingersoll told The Daily Wire. “Ocasio-Cortez herself employed a staffer who lionized Nazis collaborators. Maybe she should spend more time cleaning her room and making her bed before she goes to work.”

“Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s call for censorship is typical coming from a party hellbent on annihilating opposing views, in this case one of the only groups of journalists aggressively reporting on her,” Ingersoll added.

In a tweet, The Daily Caller wrote: “Ooh did our reporting on her campaign finance shenanigans get under her skin?”

The tweet linked to a report by investigative reporter Andrew Kerr titled, “Ocasio-Cortez And Her Chief Of Staff ‘Could Be Facing Jail Time’ If Their Control Over PAC Was Intentionally Hidden, Former FEC Commissioner Says.”

The Daily Caller issued a statement on Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks from publisher Neil Patel.

“Our reporting has directly contributed to putting four members of the ‘alt-right’ in prison and sending two more on the run, at great personal risk to our reporters on the ground,” Patel wrote. “And as a minority-owned and minority-run news company with a diverse staff — including many African-American, Jewish, Asian, and other minority employees — any allegation that our company is in league with white supremacy is offensive.”

“We have denounced white supremacy in the past and are happy to do so again,” Patel continued. “We share nothing with them and they aren’t welcome at our company. For a sitting member of Congress to knowingly repeat such spurious allegations — especially during these polarized, violent times — is not just despicable, it endangers our staff.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s attacks on Zuckerberg predictably earned the strongest negative reaction online.

Dave Rubin tweeted: “She’s absolutely awful. Zuckerberg tries to calmly explain that allowing people to decide for themselves is sometimes what’s right. That’s foreign to progressive groupthink.”

Tim Pool tweeted: “AOC just proved exactly why Mark Zuckerberg is right to not police truthfulness of political speech Poynter runs the fact checking approval for Facebook, she is wrong and is smearing the Daily Caller Should Facebook ban AOC from saying this on FB?”

Guy Benson tweeted: “Can confirm: White supremacy was not joked about, made light of, espoused, or even mentioned at the ‘far right’ / Zuckerberg dinner party I attended. What a performance she put on.”

Allie Beth Stuckey tweeted: “My gosh. @AOC tries very hard to seem fierce and operates solely out of a desire for viral clips. These questions are not at all interesting or clever, and she is cringefully arrogant.”

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden was quick to attack President Donald Trump on Tuesday after Trump referred to impeachment as a “lynching,” which is the same term that Biden used in 1998 to describe the impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton.

“So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights,” Trump tweeted. “All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here – a lynching. But we will WIN!”

Biden responded: “Impeachment is not ‘lynching,’ it is part of our Constitution. Our country has a dark, shameful history with lynching, and to even think about making this comparison is abhorrent. It’s despicable.”

In an appearance on CNN in October 1998, however, Biden referred to the Clinton impeachment as a “partisan lynching,” saying:

Even if the President should be impeached, history is going to question whether or not this was just a partisan lynching or whether or not it was something that in fact met the standard, the very high bar, that was set by the founders as to what constituted an impeachable offense.

“The term ‘lynching’ is associated with the extrajudicial killings of African Americans, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th century when it was used to terrorize black Americans and to maintain white political supremacy,” CNN reported.

“The impeachment of Clinton was initiated days after Biden’s 1998 comments on CNN, and the House of Representatives formally impeached him for lying under oath and obstruction of justice in a largely party line vote in December 1998,” CNN added. “Biden, who was a senator at the time, voted to acquit Clinton during the trial phase in the senate in February 1999.”

At least five Democrat members of Congress have previously referred to impeachment as a lynching, including: Rep. Danny K. Davis (D-IL), Rep. Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY), then-Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-NY), Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), and then-Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA).

GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest highlighted one of the lynching comments from Nadler, who in 2008, said: “I am the president’s defender in the sense that I haven’t seen anything yet that would rise, in my opinion, to the level of impeachable offense. … I wish we could get this over with quickly. … In pushing the process, in pushing the arguments of fairness and due process the Republicans so far have been running a lynch mob.”

In 1998, Davis said: “I will not vote for this nightmare before Christmas. I will not vote for this lynching in the people’s House. I will vote against these resolutions.”

In 1998, Meeks said: “What we are doing here is not a prosecution, it is a persecution and indeed it is a political lynching.”

In 1998, McDermott said: “We’re taking a step down the road to becoming a political Lynch Mob… We are going to find a rope find a tree and ask a bunch of questions later…”

In 1998, Rangel referred to Clinton’s impeachment as a a “lynch mob mentality, that says this man has to go.”

A contractor working at CNN came forward on Monday and released videos that they recorded of CNN President Jeff Zucker appearing to admit that the network is pushing the agenda of the Democrat Party by making all their news coverage about “moves towards impeachment” and telling CNN employees that the only coverage he wants is “impeachment.”

The contractor, Cary Poarch, released the videos through James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, which has a history of releasing damaging video content of left-wing figures and organizations admitting a wide range of things that often conflict with what they say publicly.

“I decided to wear a hidden camera … to expose the bias running rampant,” Poarch said.

Poarch recorded CNN company meetings where Zucker appears to admit that CNN is essentially pushing the agenda of the Democrat Party by giving non-stop coverage to impeachment and by stating that all news coverage is about “moving toward impeachment.”

“I want to stay with this, our top, top — our own reporters, our own political analysts, the top, the top [unintelligible] we have,” Zucker says. “All these moves are moves towards impeachment.”

“Let’s just stay very focused on impeachment,” Zucker adds. “We’re moving towards impeachment … all these moves are moves towards impeachment.”

Zucker tells employees to “knock off” their friendliness toward South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

The videos also seem to demonstrate a culture of bias at CNN.

CNN media coordinator Nick Neville says on an undercover video that Zucker “has a personal vendetta against Trump” and that he “blatantly hates Trump” and that it impacts CNN’s news coverage of the president.

“He hates him,” Neville says, adding that Zucker’s hatred for Trump means that CNN is going to give “negative” news coverage to the president.

Neville later appears to lament the way that the network covers the news as entertainment, saying: “But then you have higher up executives, like Zucker and other people, who are saying, ‘Well, we gotta make profits.’ So, you end up with things like — I don’t know if you heard this, but this week they had like a f***ing game show to, like, decide what dates they’re, it’s gonna be this debate.”

CNN floor manager Mike Brevna says that after Trump won the 2016 presidential election that people were “sobbing” around the office and people were “in shock.”

“That day, man, when I came in, everyone was silent,” CNN media coordinator Christian Sierra said. “Nobody wanted to talk. I’m like, like the mood was just so sour the whole day … . It was a f**king dreary day.”

Sierra admitted that CNN’s television personalities hate the president, saying: “Cooper hates him,” “Don Lemon hates him,” “[Andrew] Cuomo doesn’t like him,” and Jake Tapper “doesn’t like him either.”

Later Sierra admitted that the network does not cover Democrats and Republicans the same way during interviews.

“We’re tough on the Republicans,” Sierra said. “More so than the Democrats. Our Democratic interviews are like softballs, compared to the Republicans … if you notice like every time, we ask questions to Republicans, like it’s always a little tougher than when we do get the Democrats.”

David Chalian, CNN’s Vice President and Political Director, also appeared to attack Republicans, saying: “I think as big of a story as what President Trump has done here is the Republican’s sort of either delusional or defiant or silent responses.”

CNN has not issued a response to the Project Veritas videos as of publication.
